Or maybe it's what he had been told in good faith by someone he trusted.

In 2002 I was told by Brian McClair that Rio Ferdinand was the number one target. I shared it with only a few people but I'd have looked a dick if it hadn't happened.

Not denying that. But it's a different point completely. the posters making a sarcastic point about being bullied, lynched etc etc. The point I'm making is surely you set yourself up for that when you put information out there. It's part and parcel and a cop out he deleted his account before explaining his side of things.

Nah, he would cost a bomb.

But Bailey won’t come cheap either — sources in Germany claim Leverkusen bosses want a staggering £100m for their jet-heeled star

Oh thats a lot of money for him . Even in this market he should be available at around £60 million considering that Mahrez is valued at £75 million but he is Leverkusen's highest value asset so they will want the moon for him . I doubt we will go for either Bailey or Pulisic for same reason as Bailey. Also Bale considering with the new manager coming in Real hence Bale will take another chance . We will most definitely try again for Willian but I doubt Chelsea will let him go this time .

Maybe we might try to hijack Inter's bid for Malcolm since he is available for around €40 million according to reports which is quite reasonable amount . Apart from that maybe Mourinho tries to make Martial a right winger in pre season . He is a talented player so maybe he takes a chance and it comes off . It's also possible that Ribalta might have a surprise unknown right wing signing lined up which might come front later this summer .

The first proposal is expected to be £43.7million (€50m) but his current club want double that amount.
Real would not be willing to go beyond £52.4m (€60m) + £8.4m (€10m) in add-ons, Sky in Italy understand.
Sky in Italy are also reporting that the player's personal terms are already agreed in principle.

We should stop this pursuit, he snubbed us twice and is about to do it again. Yeah he us from Wales but he clearly doesn't want to play for us, never did.
United are like a guy who won't stop stalking and begging this girl who has made it clear multiple times that she would rather be single than be with him, get over her ( him in this case) already!

The truly big teams chase and chase and hound until they get who they want. You don't tell them no. Your club don't tell them no. They want you, they get you. :D

I guarantee he won't go to Real Madrid.

They come close to signing GKs all the time but they never push the button on it so to speak. It's obvious that De Gea is the one they really want and they won't go through with anything else while DDG remains in their mind

I was only thinking that all is talk of them signing Alisson is a way to scare De Gea in forcing a move to Real.

De Gea would cost about 3 times the amount they bid for Allison. They can try, but they would need to dig really deep and I can't see them paying over £100m for a keeper, even if it is De Gea.

They never really push the button with De Gea either though. They were a whisker away from signing him in 2015, but they didn't bid for him until the day before deadline day, and it was reportedly botched from their side and not ours. There's been half-arsed rumours ever since with nothing at all concrete.

They seem to really not want to pony up for a goalkeeper, no matter who it is.

Liverpool must be sick of Real Madrid at this point. All we need now is for them to start tapping up Salah and unsettle him. Over to you Ramos.

His story was pure bullshit. Something about being told that we're signing someone with a release clause. Whoever shared this info (Kohler per my understanding) would have just said the name of the player we were close to signing since it was LAST year. Then he went on stated this "per my understanding it would be as a RW" - so he was told that we would be signing a player with a release clause who plays on the RW - who the hell would do this? Share almost every trait about this player bar the name. Guy is a WUM and a troll and used this info on Kohler for the attention as that's what human beings do. Weirdly, we invest ourselves into transfers and he ended up messing around with so many people, he's a cnut and deserves the backlash.

This is ridiculous. Granted I haven't seen Roma play much, but how the feck is Allison proposed to be worth up to £90 million? The feck has he done to deserve that.

Madrid clearly hoping the appeal of playing for Madrid is enough to save them a few million in transfer fees for Alisson.

He's been Brazil's number 1 for a few years and was a top 4 gk in the world this past season. Also Roma don't want nor need to sell, so they can make the price they want

This is a thing I would like to see as well, although I think he's a bit too used to left side where he can cut in and shoot/pass. He has a good right foot, is fast and can beat a man or two. But I don't think Mourinho is the man that can make that happen.

Really seems like Martial is leaving, which I think is a shame since he's one of my favorite players. If he decides to stay and tries out on the right, I hope he nails down that spot.

Face it guys Bale is not coming. I think we have to realise there is no quick fix unless we want to pay silly money for unobtainable players. I would rather we purchased 3 players than Bale. Why? He's going to cost over £100m plus wages and is injury prone. If you look at every season he has been at Madrid his appearances are around 60% of a full season. It would be fine if we had someone like Asensio to rotate with him but we have no RW in our squad.

I want players that are 1) are obtainable 2) want to come this United 3) have something to prove to warrant their price and bumper new contract with the club. It may not work out every time but the club can take the risk with the amount of money we generate.

We still need a LB and RW. I would also pursue a ST for the bench and maybe a top class CB if funds were available.

I hope this does not happen. I like how he responded to criticism and came back with better performances as the season wore on. Ask the cheapskates to look elsewhere!

If this is part of a Sandro deal I will take it.
