How are you reading the situation though? As I've said, unless you are ITK you are just going on the same information we all are, 99% of which is absolute rubbish.

Read that apparently this was one of the conditions Allegrie stipulated to renew his contract and not go to Madrid.

I agree with your point though about buying players on the come up, as opposed to elder statesman who have already won it all, but Mourinho is doing this already.

Bailly, Dalot, Fred, Lindelof, Lukaku, Mkhitaryan, Pogba.. None of these were 'pipe dream' buys.

All of the above fit the right age profile and were seen as ready to step up, some did, some didn't and some haven't yet.

And if we're in for Alderweireld or Lenglet then this trend continues.

I don't mind Ed chasing his trophy player (Gareth Bale) if he's the cherry on top of a priority cake. And I think he will be.

Even though there are questions about his fit and playing style, I still remain very confident that Mourinho will have a better squad come August then he had going into the F.A Cup final.

Edit: We just bought Fred. So 40 mil for Nainggolan is outrageous at this point. If he had a burning desire to play for Man United, I'm sure he would have made it known at some point during his peak.

Agree. We could do worse than to get Top level CM's who can still give 2-3 season at that level and phased out with any special talents that may be available down the line. If we are not going down the SMS route or similar for price or any other reason then not a bad shout at all.

Yeah. Sign yourself a Bale and all he can do is either match expectations or really let you down. A young talent is an exciting thing, an unknown quantity usually with no real expectations. Watching Ronaldo transform from show-pony to World Class was brilliant. Until he fecked off to Madrid of course..

Dalot is exciting.

Fekir - plays best as a #10 in a 4-2-3-1, which we are moving away from.And also he hasn't signed for anyone

Leon Bailey - exciting player and a player we should be looking at, but supposed to cost 100 million

Leon Goretzka - again, we were interred in signing him but he chose Bayern like many Germans do, can't blame the club for that

Riyadh Mahrez - has not signed for any big club despite being very good. So maybe there are things we don't know about him that are keeping potential suitors away.

When have United wasted 5-6 weeks on one player only to panic buy the last day? Maybe we have more than one team looking at players?

Then the thing about glaring deficiencies at Left Wing Back, Leader/ Centre Back, Creative Midfielder/Warrior and Magical Right Winger.
We have been linked mostly with Sandro, Alderweireld, SMS and Bale /Willian, players who play in those exact four positions. So United are intact looking to solve those deficiencies.
Again I don't see what the club has done wrong.

The players mentioned that we should sign :
Kieran Tierney - heavily linked with us, we scouted him a lot but he doesn't want to leave this year
Jamaal Lascelles - CB £30M : one he's gonna cost way more than 30 million and two he's not the type of CB we are looking for. We are looking at a ball playing CB with experience. This guy aint any of that

Goncalo Guedes - RWS : talented, but plays at RW
Look at his stats from WhoScored.com :

He's clearly better as LW. Do we need more LW?

Radja Nainggolan - the right type of player but 30 years old with massive attitude problems. Late night partying and what not. About to be sold by Roma despite being one of their most important players.

While I agree that we should be looking at players like Bailey and Keita, I disagree with your argument that we sign only super stars.
Shaw, Herrera, Mata, Fellaini, Schneiderlin,Rojo,Martial, Lindelof, Matic, Bailly, Fred, Dalot were not superstar signings.
We will always keep getting linked with big players because we have the money.
And Bale could probably be the best RW we could buy, so I don't blame the club for pursuing him.
Also I personally am perfectly happy with our targets like Sandro and Alderweireld, both of whom IMO are perfect.

We are not a perfect club, but we are doing a lot of things right, we, the fans need to support the club than trying to demean it.

Your completly missing the point of the post, I'm a positive United Fan that goes week in week out, it's not so much about the targets, although I vehemently disagree with you over Bale, it's the constant click bait nonsense that has us linked to all of these multiple players!
When Sir Alex and David Gill completed a transfer, we normally found out only when the player had signed and as for a rare gem like Guedes, he will prove my point in the next two or three weeks.
If you don't think a 30 year old Radja Nainggolan would improve United that your opinion, not mine and not most United Fans!

Finally, we can agree on some common ground. Why on earth would we want to sign a player who is simply using the club to strengthen his position in Madrid? Yet still some people believe £150M on this sick note who is 29 would be better than investing that sum on 3 or 4 genuine young Elite talents.

Like I said, Guedes plays as a LW or is best as a LW, why buy him when we have Rash, Martial and Sanchez for that position?
I never said Nainggolan won't improve us, he has attitude problems which is reason why Roma are selling him

Guedes plays right wing striker for Portugal, left wing for Valencia. He's almost inverted from a front three with Ronaldo narrow left wing striker and A Silva playing as CFW.
B Silva plays as No 10 or Right sided No 8 Attacking Midfielder!
Either Vidal or Nainggolan will have off the field issues just like Keane, Beckham, Cantona or Giggs .....they were all maverick's with a nasty personality on the pitch, something this current United needs desperately

De Gea signing a new contract is the best signing since he actually signed from AM!!!
