He was just sold to Wolves, and now he is loaned out with an option to buy too? Why is that? Has to be terrible in training, no it is very weird. If anyone has a clue, do tell.
Wolves had an option to buy at £10m so activated it, think Stoke will be paying £12m in January so small profit.

Thanks. Didn't think of that, with the usual sums floating around in football transfers these days but it still is a lot of money so it makes sense i guess.

So we're not in for Alderweireld or Rose, we are not in for Golovin and don't seem to be in for Griezmann either. Are we playing the waiting game this summer, or are there just not any journos with insight as to what's actually happening behind the doors at Old Trafford?

Not even on the selling part although it still seems likely we're gonna offload some players to make room in the budget and squad for new players. Are the players who didn't play more than 10-15 games last season content with just being there but not playing? Don't understand it to be honest.

David de Gea talking to Cadena COPE: "I don't think Florentino Pérez has my number. I don't know if I'll be the goalkeeper at Real Madrid, what I do know is that I'm very happy in Manchester. What I want is to win titles, like every other player"

De Gea: "There's no lacking in winning titles there (Manchester United), we have to improve, we are a big club, we are not here to take second place. We have to improve and make this club great."

They couldn't afford him. They should try Allison.

English clubs missing a trick once again.

Atletico swoop while a player is in mediocre form knocking €30m off price, then lo and behold he will show his €90m class after a couple of games anyway.

He was never a 90 m player, nor a 60 m one for that matter.

Given how much Liverpool and Arsenal were linked to him last season, why in the world are neither going for him with his price significantly reduced now?

Did something happen in the last season which has turned both of them away? Was he poor?

Or maybe the one good year the year before was a fluke

I dont get how Ashley young at starting Lb is supposed to be lesser concern for Mourinho than Jones, Smalling, Bailly, Lindelof at Cb.

We really need a starting proper Left back And Mourinho doesnt trust Shaw.

Honestly don't think our central defenders are bad at all. Bailly and Smalling should be starting both incredibly solid, it's the full backs we need to carry the ball pit.

Arsenal on a roll here, think the 50m budget was a lie then. Leno, Torreira and Soyuncu isnt bad before the world cup

Haven't seen Torreira at all so not going to judge that signing but Leno and Soyuncu are still risky ones. Leno has been inconsistent during the last two seasons and maybe you can say has regressed in that period while Soyuncu has talent but is very rash; the jump from Freiburg to Arsenal maybe too big. Had they signed Leno after the 15/16 season I would say they've gotten a star, back when he and Ter Stegen were on equal footing for the Germany No.2 spot, but a lack of form domestically and for the national team (poor Confed Cup) meant he's not even in the squad for the WC.

Not signing a left back would be a colossal mistake in my opinion. Both full backs were the root of a lot of our problems last season.

Fecking Spanish journos tapping DDG up for Madrid. They can get lost.
Wouldn't be worried about the journos. The future Madrid manager is managing Spain right now. Lots of private time during the WC to sweet talk De Gea.

Slow build up from midfield was our main problem. Full backs we're only an issue when we tried to force something because we were taking too many touches and passing sideways in the middle and slowing the game down for no reason.

We aren't selling Shaw or Young this window so I doubt a new LB would be a priority.

He was only ever worth €90m to English teams. The whole world knows how much TV money they get, hence the premium.

I don't think any manager would be dumb enough to unsettle his starting no.1 during such an important tournament.

But we have signed two important players already.
Frankly, with the exception of a tested and proven marquee player, I see no reason why we shouldn't wait until after the World Cup which is the perfect stage to check out how any player can cope with real pressure and perform at the highest level. It's also a stage were some talents are unearthed and some players really come into their own. Yes, players tend to become more expensive during the World Cup but at times the extra costs pay off.

I don't mind giving TFM, Dalot, O'Connor game time, sacrificing the league as long as they got plenty of experience and we manged to get CL football.
But only for one season

When I say sacrificing for one season, I mean, if we still spend the money, we should be there or there abouts, but giving some young potential a real good go at it, rather than Lindelof, the odd appearance here and there.

Calm your tits.
We've done well to sign a RB(who can play LB as well) and a CM. LB, RW left next. With this being the World Cup year, it would take a bit more time to settle stuff. Plenty of time left. So no worries.

Ah feck, was just a matter of time before the De Gea rumours would start. At least now that he will spend a month or so with the new head coach of Real Madrid. £200m + Bale + Kroos, and we might just reinstall the fax machine.

Best keeper in the world, replacement would cost around 100m, Madrid is the buyer - You bet he will cost a lot. 150m is the minimum, and only if he really wanted to go.

Its still too low in my opinion. Just an example and not a rule but Coutinho cost what 150? Is there 150 shaped hole in Liverpools team...have Barca's team improved by such value?

I wouldn't entertain anything short of Neymar money for the best keeper in the world given what he's worth to us, that we don't need to sell and the fact any other team will add 50m to whatever replacement we want to buy because it's us. I would set the starting price at 250m for DDG. You want your shiny new toy...then pay the price
