They arent just paying those fees cos they can, they are paying them to get those players to A. leave their settled clubs B. Move to an almost unknown league and become a face of that league and C. To convince the selling club to actually let their superstars go, weve probably received bids for Pogba already.

I'm aware of those factors, but then again I read of a Conference (or less) player here who has gotten himself a contract in China for about £20k a week. That is basically a lottery win. It basically means that if you are, I dunno, some goalkeeper at Macclesfield - you could be earning up to 1000 x more and maybe even be one of the better keepers in the Chinese League.

Dortmund are 6th with aubameyang their main scorer. Sell him and there would be nobody to instantly replace him with.

Im sure they could find someone with 150m burning a hole in their pockets, why not buy Lewandowski back.

West Ham's striker search was the highlight of the last transfer window. They became visibly more desperate with each attempt and got rejected every time. Lacazette -> Bacca -> Batshuayi -> Walcott -> Callum Wilson -> Benteke -> countless others. Ended up with Zaza on loan

A bit like Alan Sugar playing monkeys on silly tasks and talks. Isn't West Ham the club with Ms Brady, though?

Sunderland should quote 30m just to see if they will pay up :p

What was it West Ham were quoting for Payet last window, £100m? Sunderland should ask for that for defoe too. Sure West Ham would see the funny side

They're under enormous pressure to appease their fans who are completely fecked off having moved stadium. Signing a Club legend who will be vital for them is a good start

Get Pereira back new contract with €60 mill buy out. Then commence talks with Benfica. Feck em let them have a taste of their own medicine.

According to MEN, isn't space for Muller at Bayern? Find that very hard to believe

This seems like an outstanding piece of business for Stoke in todays market. He's been excellent for them this season.

I remember reading or maybe hearing Jose in a press conference saying that he wanted each of Johnstone and Pereira to have half a season on loan and half as the third GK. So if I'm correct he'll come back and we'll see Johnstone go somewhere on loan.

Aye, seems like Brucie's taking Johnstone to Villa. Johnstone's loan is long overdue, however I would've loved to see Pereira get some minutes somewhere after such a good spell at Belenenses. We might as well have O'Hara as 3rd keeper, he's there just to train basically. And if we get an injury for either of the first two gk's, we could just recall Johnstone/Pereira.

That's just Matthäus giving his stupid opinion. There is nothing in it. Who makes a rumor based on that?
MEN, apparently.

Not having the greatest of seasons though, is he?

No, sadly not. He hasn't been his usual self apart from the good game here and there since February 2016, and it didn't help that Ancelotti shifted him to the wing so much with our injuries-to-winger problems. I'm not too worried though, it's not as if he has been completely shite.

as a CF, he would hardly play here either. maybe arsenal if they actually spend

I think I read that the Chinese league registration rules mean only Chinese national goalkeepers can be registered. Strange rule.

Not sure they could afford him but Muller would probably do very well at Liverpool. He'd fill that false 9 forward role, allowing Coutinho, Firminho and Mane to flourish around him. Plus he has one of those faces you kind of want to punch when you see it. Perfect fit.

Feck Müller, I never got it with him, and his troubles don't surprise me in the slightest. He's overrated for my (very little :() money.

Of course it is.

In place of who? Much rather have the trouble of fitting in Griezmann who altough pretty particular towards the SS position still is a tad more versatile, and also better.

If Müller was available, wouldn't it me more likely that he paired up with Pep again at City?
