I don't remember anybody calling Messi a choker and why would they? Messi never missed a penalty in UCL final and a sitter in Euro, Griezmann did. Griezmann is second to Higuain in terms of choking.

No but he had failed internationally and hadn't scored against an English team so the story went...

We already established that we do our best work playing 4-3-3 so it's baffling why some of the people here even consider signing Griezmann or Muller just for the sake of buying.

Yes they are quality players with great abilities but non of them works in 4-3-3 so what's the point of signing any of them if we won't be able to use them to the fullest or if it's gonna affect Pogba's game?

Because obviously Pogba doesn't work very well in a MF 2 with number 10. He can't have his freedom of movement and he has more defensive assignments.

Either would work in my opinion in a 433 we could tweak the system to suit either and still compliment Pogba. We currently have 2 world class players in DDG and Pogba so adding another one or two would be lovely. The posters saying we could not due to Pogba are doing both players a disservice imo.

James would be poor in the Premier League anyways. Plus him and his agent's attitude stinks. Can guarantee they will be complaining again by March.

"James Rodriguez vows to stay at Real Madrid for the immediate future after his agent spends 6 months trying to whore him around every club in Europe and comes up empty".

You want to get yourself off to China Jim mate.

Please make this happen.

If true it could be perfect for him, he will play in a league where defenses are good and in a team with skilled players and a very good coach.

Ah I see so you're basing this on two examples?! He was top scorer at the Euros and player of the tournament so he's used to playing on the big stage. He also scored against Bayern in the Semi Finals of the UCL.

Perfect's a bit of a stretch. I mean, it's Nice.

But how? Why trying to shoehorn Griezmann or Muller in a team that can't get the best of them? They can't play on the wing nor can they as a lone striker.

I still want Memphis to be loaned to a Prem team to gain confidence at the level required and then return to prove you all wrong.

Everton, Southampton or Bournemouth would be ideal. He still has the ability to hurt our title rivals.

Everton or Southampton would be best I reckon. Plus he's good friends with Lukaku from what I understand.

Hope the option to buy is compulsory. If he bombs, we are stuck.

That bit about Pogba is overstated. He can play in a 2 with the right partner

Bit weird, that. Pereira was playing a lot of football in Portugal, doing well, but has been recalled after half a season to be third choice?

Why not add world class player that suits instead of shoehorning someone in? If Sanchez wants to leave Arsenal at the end of season we should be all in for him, not Griezmann. He would fit us like a glove and would be that world class player we are after.

Muller can play as a striker and Griezman can play anywhere behind the front

I think Griezman is a better player and would be brilliant here. I don't think we have to shoehorn anyone in I think he'd fit nicely. I'd play him coming in of the right and floating anywhere he thinks he can be dangerous. He's such a good player it would work well and he'd add so many more goals to this team. Sanchez is brilliant also but I just feel Griezman has that bit more.

I disagree completely. He is worldclass and wonderful player but...his absolutely best position is second striker. We would need to accomodate him and limit Pogba if we decide to get him. We would have to play with midfield two...why would you change the entire system to fit one player? It's not like we don't have money and clout to pull players to fit us instead.
From the right means you would bench Mkhi. Makes no sense...also Griezmann would definitely not be as effective playing from the wing (and if you would play him it would be on the left...not on the right). Sanchez would add us so much more, he would fit straight in this system and elevate us to PL favorites and CL contenders.

No I would play Griezman on the right coming in and Mykytarin on the left and get them floating. Zlatan place would hopefully be taken by Martial or Rashford but we'd have a very fluid front 3 when Zlatan goes.
Pogba would not need moved if anything it would free him up and give him more options.

I get you but Griezmann floating from the right (or the left)...is just not as good, Sanchez would fit both positions absolutely perfectly and is superior player under that condition. He would be cheaper too (last year of the contract) no more than 50-60 mil while Griezmann would be at least 80...Sanchez is PL proven too, knows the league...and has the right mentality as well. He just checks all possible boxes for us.

He can but there's a reason he has never been first option for that spot during his years in Bayern. You don't buy a player that spent his entire career playing SS or number 10 only to making him your CF.

I know what roles Griezmann can play but we aren't playing that formation. We are playing 4-3-3 and not 4-2-3-1 with number 10. Unless you can see Griezmann playing RCMF b2b next to Pogba in MF 3.
