One of my favourites players over the last decade. However, he's not young anymore and very likely not fit and agile enough to run the line in the Premiership. Coaching or ambassador role would make perfect sense.

If true (big if) it's a great amount of money for a free signing that has been at the club for 6 months. Can use a few grand of it to get Paul Merson into the club and rest can be his bid for Marcus Rashford.

Mourinho wants Diarra & Schneiderlin could go the other way.

Wasn't he available for peanuts in the summer? I can't see that we'd reject £19m for Schneiderlin only to use him as makeweight for Diarra.

He was quite good last season. Seems he's not been playing much this season though?

Edit: Apparently he has to pay 10 million Euros to Lokomotiv Moscow?!

He'd provide us with some competition for Carrick which we desperately need.

It's finally happening

Yeah, seems like Marseille don't want to pay the fine owed for/to Lokomotiv.

I'd prefer to keep Schneiderlin than go for Diarra.
Diarra is the better CDM in a midfield 3 (which is where we're short in quality, if Carrick gets injured). I really wanted Diarra on a free in the summer, but I'm not sure he's still a good idea with the 10m or whatever that he has to pay his previous club (which I reckon we'd have to pay for him).

I'd rather see us sign Diarra than no one at all. Will help us immensely for the remainder of the season.

Would love to see Evra back. Even if its just for a season. Actually feck it, just for the instagram posts.

Imagine if we had Evra, Lingard and Griezmann? Pogba would be the happiest man on earth.

Why are Veratti stories popping up? is his agent leaking? if he actually wants a move its going to be one of the most critical transfers of the next few years, I hope we can get involved. Based on the stories so far looks like a return to serie A. Can't say he seems like the most ambitious players though, if he is happy to stagnate his career in PSG its fine but dominating ligue 1 games is a touch easier than about four other countries and he won't develop to his full potential if he stays there.

Seems like Veratti maybe angling for a move at the end of the season hence the DiMarzio story.

Him coming back would be like the last 3 years never happens (atmosphere, morale wise).

I don't think you'd send that article to print if you hadn't have heard a few fairly concrete whispers.

As back up to Shaw for a little while, perhaps. But he wasn't good enough to be a regular when he left, in truth.

:wenger:

Fecking Moyes made him keep crossing like fecking Baines while demoralize the whole squad. Judging by that season, hardly anyone is good enough. This Evra had kept winning with Juve, CL finalist, EURO 2016 final with France since.

We need Verratti if he's moving. That's a hugely important transfer. There's absolutely no reason why we can't get him and no reason why we shouldn't strongly try. Come on United.

Paul-Georges Ntep close to joining Wolfsburg for €5m according to German Kicker magazine. It's in line with a tweet I saw but can't find again by a guy from Le Parisien that OM will miss out on him as he chose Wolfsburg.

So much that he played through pain and dodgy knees so much so he can no longer walk without pain

I don't know about hated but Batistuta certainly has bo real interest in football. He runs a farm now in argentina and in an interview wi saw a long time ago (may have been ss greatest series) he says he doesn't care about football.

Are you sure he didnt say this after the fact. As in after he retired he no longer had an interest?

I find it odd that a player who didnt care about football would play through the pain he did

Evra? Sure, why not. Obviously there are question marks considering his defending and age, but think about having him at left back at West Ham last monday instead of the god awful Darmian who can't create to save his life. Evra would be great against crap teams sitting deep. Evra, Pogba and Martial could have their own playground on our left side, creating havoc and shit. The French Connection.

As for people talking about the pace of The Premier League, Evra's still faster than Blind, must be.

Or maybe just Shaw could get his act together so we wouldn't have this discussion!

Love Evra, but no thanks. LB is a position we're actually stocked in - Shaw, Blind, Rojo and CBJ to come back. And Darmian, i suppose. All of those are better defensively in 2016 than Evra.

Love Pat, I'd love to see him back as a coach but not as a player.
