Think people are stressing too much, yes City are spending early. We will sign players, as will the other teams who you would consider rivals in the Top 6. It is a Top 6 now, all of whom could win the league and any two of which could finish outside the Top 4. It is one hell of a competition.

Mourinho better finds a way to beat that competition next season. United can't stay in that 6th place forver we need to be up there competing for the title.

The worst part about this is if City do win the league and spend 300m to do so nobody will mention how much was spent but hail Pep as a genius and how he proved he is not only the best manager in Manchester but the best in the world. Yet if Mourinho does the same and wins the league whilst spending 300m then people will say Mourinho is a crap manager and he bought the title.

Who cares what others say, Mourinho should just make sure he can beat that fecking slime of a manager pep and win us the PL. Do whatever it takes, but just do it !

I don't mind us spending a small fortune to win the league even if everyone and their dog would complain about it. But if we are spending a fortune again to finish 6th, I'll lose my shite.

It's tongue in cheek pal. People have always given Jose shit for being a chequebook manager and Pep being seen as some footballing god who turns shit into diamonds. It's proven that he's just as much a chequebook manager as anyone else, if not more.
Maybe to you it is but the state of this place reeks of jealousy and bitterness. And I guess this is how other fans felt when we were one of the only few spending tons of money. The transfer thread is clogged up with people commenting of City not having signed any defenders yet as a reason to console their purchase of a potential world class player in Silva.

I just hope we do the right business this summer. City are building a very solid squad if the strong rumours are to be believed, and they would take some beating at the rate they are going. A la Fergie, we need to react to their super spending.

Even Morata doesnt want to play for us.

Did you even read the article you posted? He spent 2 years in Italy in a successful stint at Juventus and wanted to return there and Milan have offered him a chance. His wife is also Italian so it makes sense.

Hes gone to the GP, nothing to see here

It's worrying, but I'm going to reserve judgement until the season gets underway. Jose is usually spot on when it comes to transfers, so we'll have to wait and see.

I hope so too. I'm not pro José and I've been underwhelmed all season by him but one area I cannot doubt his prowess, is to bring in good players. But the way City are going, he too will need to up his game too. So I guess a lot is riding on the accuracy of his targets and Woody's ability to reel them in.

This window is going to be one hell of a ride. Sit tight!

What did he do? I don't get it
Well when all was doom and gloom and jose was troubled with draws. I emerged with a grand plan for redcafe to save the season and make us qualify for champions league by harassing Niall to change his user name to luckymcluckerson and thus reversing the curse placed on the matchday threads. People thought it wouldnt work and made jokes on me but it did and now you shall bow down to the champions league giver.

Since you saved our season, you can :)

Also, I think we're chasing Belotti.
It clearly said by Di marzio that jose called him. Belotti might be a target but Torino's owner says he leaves only if someone pays the 100 million clause.

Agreed, difference is I or anyone I've spoken to has never dismisssed the fact Jose is as much of a chequebook manager than he is a great coach but that notion is completely dismissed by every Pep fanboy.

Funny thing is hasnt Guardiola unless Im mistaken done worse than any of the City managers since Mark Hughes and the blank chequebook was introduced? If they had not have been so desperate for him and it was Pep the amazing manager of Barcelona and Bayern munich brilliant inherited sides....he would have been sacked.

Dont get me wrong he is obviously a good manager, and potentially an all time great, but that Barcelona side he inherited was already amazing even though he further improved them. The Bayern side he inherited had one the treble and he failed in the champions league. For me he inherited the most talented squad in the premiership when he took over.....and came third. He made a great signing in Jesus and an utter rick in gettign rid of Joe Hart. Still has loads to prove I believe before he deserves the credit he has already attained in just a fledgling management career

Did he say anything 'interesting'? Something along the lines of, we're signing Mbappe and griezmann next week?

He was talking about pre match. He said that the most important thing is that the players seem comfortable and he doesn't care what they do (for example music before a match) if it makes them feel comfortable.
