Of course we should. They are Real Madrid, footballing royalty. We should see it as an honour that a club like Madrid is interested in one of our players.
:lol:yes, exactly. That's the attitude instead of the constant whining

Rough translation : There is growing expectation of Moratta in Milan, The player wants to return to italy.

Last year city spent 215 million (approximately) to win feck all, This year they will spend another 300 million on top of that, if reports are true.
That is mind boggling spending and none of the press are bothered by it.

The Premier League has to adapt to Pep though.....

People losing their shit because City are doing their business quickly

It's fricking May 27, more than 2 months before we leave for preseason tour. I'm sure majority of our signings would be done by then.

I'm sure if clubs come for your best player every summer it would get tiring for you and you'll like a moan too. DDG is a top player so if Madrid were that keen, they should have paid whatever they offered much before deadline day. Again, this summer all the talk has been about how much United want. You label James Rodriguez as an €80 million player in the market even though he is a bit part player at the club, so why are Madrid balking at the price of €70 million when they are trying to sign 2nd best GK in the world who is on a long term contract and is clearly valued at the club?

Of course they are going to play great football with the set of players, If they fall short will just be because of Teams around them being more consistant.
That's an assumption, and in no way makes what he said contradictory.

To be fair we say that every summer and we always manage to allow things to rumble on till late in the day.

Pep Guardiola: "The Premier League is no more intense than La Liga or the Bundesliga, but I'll need half a billion quid to spend on players".

Well we have a cup final to think about. City have had time to deal with things and they got a good bit of scouting done when Monaco knocked them out of the CL. I am sure they will do the same next time whoever knocks them out then.

Watching the grand prix most likely.

The Philosophy and passing, ball circulation brings the best out of players and the team. Players more or less fail when system and philosophy demands them to adapt to it when it aint their natural game, But in this case I think it fits together.
Still nothing to do with saying her statement was a contradiction. Which it wasn't.

I'm sure us securing CL football only 3 days back plays a major part. People forget just because Mourinho handed over the list to Woodward 2 months back doesn't mean negotiations should be advanced. Like every manager, Mourinho must have 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice for every player he wants in a particular position. Now that CL football is assured, Woody can concentrate in trying to convince the 1st choice targets to sign for us and that will take time. If we are in July and still nothing has happened I would be worried but not now in May!

I know,I was joking :D.Florentino doesn't want to lose money.Obviously after so long in the bench his market price has decreased a lot.
I read yesterday that Inter offered 46m€ and that's probably the bigger offer in all this time.
Anyway yesterday It was a tweet about United/City willing to pay 45m€ for Mendy. If a left back cost that,a good #10 that can provide goals and many assists should cost at least 60.
For that reason I wouldn't like to include players (although De Gea transfer looks colder every day)

Pep improves his players and doesn't need the World's best players though.

He needs the absolute best for his teams to perform. At least better than anyone else in the league as proven by his time at both Barca and Bayern.

Pep Guardiola: "The Premier League is no more intense than La Liga or the Bundesliga, but I'll need half a billion quid to spend on players".

But the irony here is He is able to lure players suiting his philosophy and man city's financial clout is delivering them.

If somebody find a way to combat said system, then it doesn't always work.

Holiday. Nothing more. Jose said himself his work is done for the season and it's down to EWWW

To be fair to Pep, and I am never one of his supporters as I think the bloke is hugely overrated - what's he supposed to say to the Man City owners? "No, don't spend loads of money on quality players. RedCafe will make fun of me. Just buy potentially good players from the SkyBet Championship please."

It's a bit RAWKish in here since the Silva signing.

It's tongue in cheek pal. People have always given Jose shit for being a chequebook manager and Pep being seen as some footballing god who turns shit into diamonds. It's proven that he's just as much a chequebook manager as anyone else, if not more.

No club wants to lose money but it's inevitable if the player isn't playing a major part in your team his value will decrease, I mean we took a €20 million hit on Di Maria after just one season. As great as a player maybe, if he is not playing his value will diminish and I think €42 million offered by Inter is more in line with what would be his accurate valuation in the market. Just because a full back is worth €45 million doesn't automatically mean a #10 should be worth more, a value of a player is always relative to the club he is playing for. Mendy signed from Marseille just a year ago, he is on a long term contract. He is first choice for Monaco who are competitive these days and they certainly don't need the money. Hence, the high price. Situation with James is different, he is not playing regularly but he is also quite clearly too good to sit on the bench and Madrid don't want to lose more value on him. I think a €50 million transfer fee is a fair price considering his situation and Madrid will get a buyer for that price this summer.

If somebody find a way to combat said system, then it doesn't always work.

One Game Does not make the players and the system Fail, Everyone has defeats. Consistancy here is key, but it does not imply that They would not be playing well i feel. They might not be consistent as others around them at the end or who knows Yet i feel they are destined to play well with the team they have got.

Think people are stressing too much, yes City are spending early. We will sign players, as will the other teams who you would consider rivals in the Top 6. It is a Top 6 now, all of whom could win the league and any two of which could finish outside the Top 4. It is one hell of a competition.

Not sure if people were expecting them to sign Brad Guzan or something. City have lots of money, they will sign top quality players. They've done it for years now, but people lose their shit every summer for some reason.
