Walker and Mendy as FBs
With their attack, this is football manager stuff guys.

David Silva is getting on and Bernardo would be a natural replacement

David Silva and De Bruyne play as central mids under Pep, Bernardo is a wide player who can play as a 10. Just because both players share the same surname doesn't mean he can control the game and run the show like David Silva. He's being signed as a wide option, probably displaces Sterling on right.

Think people forget that Griezmann plays for a not particularly attractive team to watch, but they are efficient. Those expecting all of a sudden that we will become this super attacking side will be disappointed. What we will become is more efficient at scoring any chances we do get and shutting other teams out.

Exactly, peope are having a meltdown like we lost out on one of the players that was on Jose's wish list.

I trust Jose when it comes to building teams that will suit him, so if he doesn't want Silva or another player then I'm fine with that. It's going to be a long Summer and I can't wait to see the team that both Pep and Jose will assemble when the window shuts.

Not overly concerned. Mendy won't solve their defensive issues. They're already stacked with attacking options, that's not their Achilles heel.
Fullbacks were definitely their Achilles heel, they're integral to Pep's style of play and they weren't up to par this year. Big boost for them imo.

Mendy and Silva will be two great acquisitions. Two of the best players on the market in their respective tactics.

Less chance for youth prospects from super mega ultra city football academy to emerge.

Mendy and Silva. FFS. City making some great signings. Both players who are amongst the best talents in their positions.

Problem is that Mendy is great going forward but he's average at the back. Hence why it won't really improve them defensively.
That could well be true. But he's so good going forward he may help them dominate and use the ball more, so the defensive side may not be as big a deal as it has seemed with poorer full backs this season. Obviously different situations, but I don't know that he's enormously worse defensively than players like Dani Alves or Alba.

Pepe and James Rodriguez to Inter according to Sportitalia (reliable)

So City are apparently signing Mendy, Walker, Fabinho, and Silva. Somehow, I cant see Monaco selling three of their star players to one club.

Thats something i expected, James not a United target was clear as day. Him and Pepe could only move to Italy or PSG.

What difference does it make if they're sold to one club or three different clubs? If Monaco get the money they want I don't see why they would care.

If they get enough money for them, why not?

Well they need 3 fullbacks so they better get started. I wonder if our interest in fullbacks has cooled as Darmian's performances have improved?

Scenes when City field Silva and Mendy and we field Ashley Young and Darmian, come the start of next season.
lol

I'll re-phrase, then - I don't see Monaco selling Mendy, Fabinho and Silva, with people also chasing Mbappe, Bakayoko, Germain and Sidibe, all in one window. It wouldn't make any sense for them to just sell everyone that people were interested in. I think it's generally accepted that Fabinho, Silva and Bakayoko at the very least are all leaving the club. There's no reason to disassemble a title-winning team when they are all as young as they are. Money sure is lovely, but i'm sure Monaco will manage their outgoings rather than just have a fire sale.

Typical CAF, the moment the opposition swoops in for any player that will definitely improve us, we conclude that they are average and not good enough.

Muppetry is painful:lol:

You mustn't have been here two summers ago, City were destined to conquer the world after signing Otamendi.
