David Silva isn't getting any younger, would be a superb long term replacement.

Don't they already struggle to fit De Bruyne in with Silva? I think they've had to play him on the wing at times. With Sane, Silva, De Bruyne and Sterling this transfer makes no sense to me. You can't fit those 5 guys in the same team and all of them are too good to sit on the bench

That's my thoughts too. It's surely us if the rumour is true? Especially as City have just decimated their already weak back line. They need to spend a lot of money on their back four, goalkeeper and DM positions before they buy more attacking midfielders.

Strong rumours that he is having a medical at City as we speak.

And Jose's comments saying that the signing was unlikely seals it for me.

I think they will sign him, and struggle to improve their backline though. City arent good at signing defenders.

They usually play both of them in a midfield three against the weaker teams. It's not exactly the worst problem for Pep to have so many quality attacking options.

Fair enough, disappointing if true as we could really use him but it's encouraging to see Guardiola make the same mistakes Wenger always makes.

What about when Gundogan comes back?? At some point you can't just sign an unlimited amount of good players and be able to fit them all in.

To be honest I really wanted Bernardo so maybe I'm just in denial, very annoying that top players are being hoarded, I just don't think City need him at all

Silva just coming off a good season. Seems a bit early to be replacing him.

Long term, in the short term he can still be the creative hub of this City team and Bernardo Silva can learn from one of the best attacking midfielders around.

The one thing that I wouldn't have expected City to be looking for this summer is another attacking midfielder. Especially considering they've just released around half of their entire defense...
Gonna be a massive summer of buying!

No, they both play in the team together at the moment.

To the detriment of De Bruyne though no? I thought he'd had a relatively weak season compared to previous. Feel like him and Silva didn't exactly fit naturally together in the side

And what about Silva choosing to go to City with all the AMs they have. i don't think he'll play as much as he could have in another team.

Odds dropped massively yesterday on him going City right. Means people probably put money on it quickly.

#Arsenal is set to announce the signing of #Kolasinac: the final details remaining.

Well, City aren't exactly a world beating team and Pep has been shown to be wanting this season, there's literally no reason to go to City if United is an option., unless you care more for money.
Yeah because utd won the league remaining unbeaten, won the cl and every other trophy possible. Oh wait none of that happened we finished 6th while city 3rd, we won the mickey mouse cup and europa while city were cheated out of a fa final and got to QF in CL, a competition we only qualified to thanks to europa.

I hate city and messiah as much as the next utd fan but this is complete BS, we are at a very similar levels and by looks of it city will spend unheard amounts bringing in big players this season given the players they have let go. Jose and woody need to respond.

We can offer more money than City.

It's not 2005 anymore, City are a very attractive project for most footballers I'd imagine, more so now than ever. There's a reason why they are favourite to win the league next season. They have a better team than us.

Muppets

Watch a player.
Like the player.
See him as the missing piece.
Convince themselves we are going to get him.
Hear some some rumours linking him to us, get excited.
Wait for deal to be concluded.

Player goes to another club.

Come to the CAF bitch around, call the club every sort of names.

The manager probably didn't even want the player, He's not the missing piece in his team.

Deal with it, we won't sign every player you want

I´m impressed by Arsenal this off-season. They made three big signings already: Kolasinac, Kolasinac and Kolasinac.

How many times are they going to announce that deal?

Think people forget that Griezmann plays for a not particularly attractive team to watch, but they are efficient. Those expecting all of a sudden that we will become this super attacking side will be disappointed. What we will become is more efficient at scoring any chances we do get and shutting other teams out.
