Real Madrid fans want to get rid of Ronaldo and boo him for ages... does it mean he is not good enough?

Real fans boo bad performances, like a boss scolding an employee, because that's what the Socios are; the owners of the club. That doesn't mean they want rid.

Yes, they probably should try to get rid of him at the end of the season.

Still a terrible way to act as fans, as people. No bosses should be booing you when you try hard and have been a valuable player giving so much to the "company"

this is such a flawed way of discrediting news. not that i particularly think this will happen or that its true, but still

It isn't a way of trying to discredit the news, it was a genuine question. If the Guardian ran an exclusive reporting that Iago Aspas was moving from Celta Vigo to Udinese, i'd find it a bit out of place.

You're dragging this in a pointless direction. My point was that for R.Madrid fans boo =/= want to sell. Which is what the poster used to build his argument that somehow Real fans wanted rid of Ronaldo all these years because they'd occasionally boo him.

If the extent of our ambition is to sign the likes of Lucas Moura, City will go on to dominate us for many years to come. We had a good run I guess.
Exactly this. He is their 7th or 8th choice in attack. And he is a good solid player. We don't need that. Especially in attack.
But i think whole this story is bs so...

my apologies. it’s just, I’ve seen it here a couple of times.

and yeah I do understand what you’re saying, and chances are, most of the time is made up bollocks but I figure agents have relationships with many journalists from everywhere so there’s always the off chance of one of them grabbing an “exclusive” like that, even if regarding clubs far removed from whatever league/country they cover and are based on

Is that lingo something clubs/news outlets do to piss off (their) fans? I notice this phrase .....SIGN....to a LOAN quite often and I assume the fans reaction must be: Yes we signed him....to a loan...ah f*** off.

Why not just write "ABC will loan XYZ until the end of the season."

No, it's just that I've seen PSG fans want rid of him looking at r/PSG for example. If they want him gone then that means he isn't good enough for them.

None of our attackers would be good enough to start for PSG so that's all irrelevant really.

Duncan Castles says Zlatan could leave before the end of the season. He has offers from MLS and China.

Bald Dunc links us with Moura this window and says Belotti is still top of our list.

He also says we are targeting a young striker that could learn his trade under Jose. That seems strange as if we did sign Belotti, we would have him, Lukaku, Rashford and Martial. Surely Rashford is the young striker that can learn under Jose.

Depends on whether Jose sees Martial and Rashford as strikers or wingers/inside forwards. And so far he mains sees them out wide. They're not his type of forward. I'm just not sure a young striker would be any cheaper. Would think another older striker would be cheaper and happier to be on the bench without us having to worry about his progression.

They are all 3 seperate options to replace Ibra, we'll only do 1 of the 3.

what, why?
We're lacking creativity and dribbling in midfield when Pogba isn't playing. Gomes is decent technically and is very quick for a midfielder. He'd be better than any of our current options as the third CM if we play 433 (or a midfield 3 in general).

Barca would be motivated to sell and there a number of players who could be available

think their wages are something like 85% of their turnover :wenger:

To be honest I'd be a fan of more of these types of deals, loans with an option to buy. There's plenty of players who don't work out at one club but do another, Gomes has been utter wank for Barca and didn't impress at the Euro's really either, but was highly-rated at Valencia and there is clearly a talented player in there somewhere.

If he does shit, you're not liable for him beyond the next 6 months. If he's good, you have the option on the table that can't be retracted in the wake of any good form by his parent club to make it long-term.

So Castles mentions 3 options we could follow: 1) Sign an established striker in his mid 20's (Belotti tops the list), 2) Use either Martial/Rashford as a striker and then use the available funds to buy a winger that hugs the touchline or 3) Sign a younger striker that can play as an understudy to Lukaku.
I hope we're looking at Timo Werner as well.

Yep and don't care what anyone says, Barca don't sign you if you're utter garbage, even Mathieu wasn't that bad!

Sorry I'm missing why that makes him a joke? He clearly wants to play for Barca and loves them, yes what an idiot.
Then stop leaving your beloved clubs on loan or get sold with buy back clause. If you love your club so much then stau and fight for your love than getting other clubs involved then you them the next time your beloved club was in a pinch. Being loyal to someone doesn't mean you can be uncommitted to others just in case it fits your need. It sounds like a spy. Would you trust this guy in your team at times it may be against his beloved club's interest.

This one gets me the most. We don't get Griezmann purely due to an ethical decision to not leave his club in a quandry post-transfer ban; fast forward half a year and ban is lifted only to find that not only are we not being mentioned, but Barca are most likely to get a player whom we had a free run at prior to the season beginning.

Moura has a good player. People keep saying this. Is it that you have watched him at PSG and thought he has been poor? He’s been a key player for the past couple of seasons, and has a good output.

Good doesn't get you from second to first. As long as "good" and "good output" are acceptable for a first team wide-player then you'll always be second when the team which is in first won't settle for "Good"

Maybe Barca told him to hang fire and they would be in for him. The old loyalty thing being a smokescreen. I love conspiracies. :) That he had never had any intention of coming here. Another conspiracy.:)

Would anyone have said Sterling was going to turn into the player he has, or even Sane for that matter, people laughed at Liverpool signing Salah? You don't know how a player will turn out. They can be average to good for one team and turn into a world beater at another if the conditions are right.

Level of performance, I agree with that, however, the devil is in the details and the intricacies. Salah at Chelsea, Sterling at Liverpool, Sane and Schalke, all of whom didn't necessarily set the world alight, but they showed technical potential in that they didn't demonstrate poor decision making or producing loose passes. The components that make for those players' recent form were all there, is my argument, whereas, even when Lucas Moura is having a good game he still can't iron out his proneness to poor passing and decision making.

I hope I'm wrong, I really do hope that, though.

He never seemed that keen on us. Having Pogba was the main thing in our favour but now a Spanish club wants him he gets the climate he wants along with playing with a few of his international teammates.

Just a shame for us that Griezmann didn't have his brother's level of fanaticism.

Draxler is a very good play and Di Maria was very good for Real. Ignore how he was for us. That was not Di Maria.

I know! Exactly! They've got layer one world class and layer two world/top class! My ego as far as United is concerned can't accept their third choice wide men, even if they're really good  It's the principle.
