I know! Exactly! They've got layer one world class and layer two world/top class! My ego as far as United is concerned can't accept their third choice wide men, even if they're really good  It's the principle.
The problem I see with United, this isn't to do with Moura, is that we buy players who used to be great. If we don't watch we are the club players come to die. Instead of getting them just as they are going to become great. DDG is the last one of the latter and that was some years ago.
I am hoping some of our buys prove me wrong, i.e. Pogba and Martial. They have the potential, but that is all it is at the moment. DDG has gone beyond that and have proved he is world class. Pogba looks like he could. Martial I am not yet sure.

Duncan Castles says Zlatan could leave before the end of the season. He has offers from MLS and China.

We could sign someone young to improve and act as a back up to Lukaku, we could sign a striker in his mid-20s or we could play Rashford/Martial more often as a striker. Thanks for that insight baldy.

Arsenal need to tell them £40 million or feck off.

Feck off for what ? City then will get him for free in summer.

Arsenal are in the weak side in this. They either accept very cheap price or now or get nothing for him in summer.

What the hell is £20 million? It also sets an example for the future.

We should be offering 20m for Ozil. If Sanchez leaves for measly 20m, why not?

The other option is losing him for free. Arsenal shot themselves when they didn't sell him in summer and they're paying the consequences.

Keeping him and trying to secure CL football next year is worth the £20 million.

Is Alexis absolutely dead set on City and only City? Wonder if he'd even consider another club. If he can be had for this cheap I'm shocked that other clubs aren't after him. I'd love it if Chelsea went to Arsenal with something way beyond what City will want to offer for him. He'd certainly have a more prominent and important role here than he would at City. Same could be said of United.

Does he even care much about the team at this point ? Most of the times I watched them he has been playing half arsed.

I think him to moving to City at this point won't change much. They already have a great attack. He's approaching his 30 and his decline will start sooner or later. He'll probably replace Aguero who might leave next summer so it's not gonna change much. I was worried in summer of them signing him because he might help them win the league this very season, but they're already winning it now, and by next season I think he won't be the same machine he used to be. Will still be very good of course but he'll be approaching his declining.

Yup I agree, but I think this is clearly the case of him wanting City and only City. You can bet your house on United and Chelsea testing the water already with his agent.

That's the stupid thing. Everyone has always said that you can never doubt his effort and that Ozil disappears and doesn't put the effort in. If anything recently it has been the other way round.

Very good point. Ozil has always been criticized heavily for not caring for the team but he didn't extend his contract and still one of their best players this season.

The replacements are Iwobi, Welbeck and Walcott. Arsenal need to keep him. I dont really care about him going to City either btw.

It's hardly going to cost City 20 Million. He'll have a massive signing on fee being a free agent. Over the term of the contract he'll not come cheap.

This isn’t Arsenal’s problem though?

The last time City had a forward line like they do now, was the team of Summerbee, Bell, Lee, Young and Coleman. Excellent team with Doyle and Booth etc. Then they bought Rodney Marsh. Wonder if the same will happen again with Sanchez, very good player but very self-centered. Could alter the whole dynamics, and not in a good way.

What happened when they signed Rodney Marsh?

Barca think brazillians are pokemon and they want to catch em all.

He's not even playing ahead of the second tier group like Draxler and Di Maria, though, and that's very relevant.

Di Maria in form is also better than any of our attackers. Draxler is probably a similar level. Ultimately, we need a winger badly and he's at a pretty similar level to the players we already have. Maybe people want a higher level but that's just not available in January.

Than don't sign anybody

Had a bid of £92m in the summer, but will let him go for just over £60m mid-season now? Seems unlikely.

I wonder whether Lemar would even want to join Arsenal at this stage, seeing as they are a complete shambles and likely won't have CL football next season either.

I doubt Alexis will ever be as good as he was a couple of years ago. City are clearly getting him on the downward slope.

Alexis is better than all of our attacking players by far, so there’s that. He is the kind of player we need to level the ground.

I imagine he would get a decent pay rise and I suppose there is no guarantee he will get a better offer if he decided to turn them down. That's assuming he hasn't already got another concrete offer from elsewhere.
