Lowest average attendance figures last season. Less than 10,000 in a 20,000 capacity stadium. Their last league game against Rennes had an attendance of 7,500.

It's a shame. Nobody would believe they're the champions :wenger:

Don't Valencia have Parejo, Kondogbia and Soler? Why would they want Coquelin unless Soler might be on his way?
Soler mainly played as winger this season and Kondogbia prone to inconsistent performances. They don't have depth in CM so makes sense. Actually, they don't have a pure DM so he'd add balance.

Jesus injured, go for Sanchez immediately. Comforts. Guardiola like a kid in a candy shop.

Here we can't even replace an aging, injured Valencia.

It is frustrating.
The problem is that Pep has the full financial backing of his club. Jose doesn't. We know that the "there is no value in the market" excuse was used in the Summer and no doubt, it will continue.
Every transfer window which passes, you will see MCFC pull further and further away.
Given this, Jose will need to come up with a plan to beat Pep, with a vastly inferior squad.

Fair enough but I thought Coquelin would want to move somewhere he can start games rather than be another depth option.
They only have Parejo, Kondogbia and Maksimovic really for CM. Obviously Soler can fill in but they do need the depth. Parejo has been doing well recently so i guess he'd fight it out with Kondogbia. Then there's injuries, suspensions etc. Sure he'd get good amount on the pitch.

We spent £150m last summer. We have amazing financial clout and backing.

Klopp is trying to hijack Goretzka's move to Bayern.

Being champions won't magically increase Monaco's population or turn people from Nice away from the club of their city who is a local rival of Monaco.

On his way to United? :D
They only write that Marcelino wants a solid midfield with several options if they play C.L next year

City are just taking the piss. Obviously loading up for a CL challenge because there's absolutely no need for Sanchez in the league.

I assume he'll come in for Sane in the short term - Aguero in the long term. Incredibly harsh on two fantastic players. In terms of resources this is just reinforcing what is already by far and away the best attack in the league.

Whatever people say about Jose's spending - Pep's is on another level.
Jesus is out for 6 weeks - Sanchez will be good cover for that. Money is no object and this is pocket change anyway so why not

Would be amazed if Goretzka does a u-turn to sign for Liverpool. Not even with regards to wages, do Bayern concede anything to Liverpool, think James is earning more than anyone in the Prem.

Like Manchester then, amen to that :)

Is Lemar really all that? Didn't they want something like 90m for him off Arsenal last summer?

Barça will go for Griezmann despite signing Coutinho. They offer 5 year contract. He would be at the height of Suárez at a salary level, only behind Messi

As a Real Madrid fan, do Dembélé, Coutinho and possibly Griezmann concern you? What changes do Real need to make to compete with them? It seems like your squad is ageing and needs big investment.

If we don't get Griezmann, we are resigning ourselves to being another Arsenal at best. We need quality in attack desperately and I don't think we're getting Dybala.

This is part of the issue with our transfer policy I think as a whole, there are many more options out there than Griezmann or Dybala for great attacking signings but people seem relegated to the fact we'll have a shocking summer if we dont get some obvious big name ala Bale, Griez or Dybala. They are good players sure, but we need to cast our net wider as well if we are to compete as a team.

We don’t have Griezmann now and we’re already a fair bit better than Arsenal.

We’re better off without him. There are other areas we need to strengthen that can transform our team, Griezmann isn’t one of them.

A few months ago they were winning the champions league, so the problem has to go beyond the age, especially when Kroos or Marcelo have been among the worst. Regardless of who is sold I would say a top midfielder, two full backs, a central back and a forward.
I do not know Coutinho too much, I guess he will not have it so simple. That price has to weigh, especially when comes to replace Iniesta, but yes, they would have a devastating attack.
I think that this year we are not seeing the real Griezmann

So it’s now up to Arsenal to decide if they hold onto him and lose him for free in the summer, or just sell now and pocket the £20 million?

It's the same as them having to decide to accept they won't get top 4 this season, or hold on to the thinning hopes that they will by keeping Sanchez until the summer.

Is it a habit that people continually say Griezmann at 100m is a snip when you add in those wages?
I was all for this a year ago but maybe finishing 6th while being impotent in front of goal coloured my reasoning.
