So does Chelsea getting Barkley is a way to play him over Bakayoko as he's proved terrible or what ? Because the only other way to play him as a starter will be ahead of Febregas which is miles ahead of someone like Barkley in creativity.

You can sign pre-contracts within 6 months of the end of your existing deal. Goretzka will sign in the next few days
Barkley is not half as bad as some are making him look like. Either way we don’t need him if we have any serious plans for Andreas Pereira.

Lemar wouldn't be a bad replacement; capable of playing in the most advanced role of a midfield three or out wide, creative, quick, excellent set-piece taker etc. Coutinho out, Van Dijk, Lemar and a new GK in leaves them stronger than when the window started in my view.
