PSG will probably sell Neymar to Madrid for 250m and have the money to sign Mbappe and another 100m player.

Another factor to consider is the animosity between Qatar and UAE. Emir of Qatar would never sanction sale of Mbappe to Emirati City.

Then you know. City can't do that either, not anymore.
I'm not saying they can.

But there's definitely more money in the EPL than Ligue 1, and City aren't under investigation for unrealistic sponsorships as far as I'm aware.

Expires in 2019, and yes he was mainly on the right but played at CF for the odd game when Cavani didn't play for whatever reason.

Thanks. I didn't no there's an obligation to buy rather than an option as per Adida's post below.

The understanding is that PSG are contractually obliged to buy him. But they might have to sell him again to avoid sanctions.
He's not returning to Monaco.
He mainly plays on the right.

That's interesting and strange. That means that City would have to buy him from Psg who would have to pay Monaco for the loan obligation, has this type of transfers happened before?

Mbappe isn't going anywhere, if PSG have FFP troubles then he would be the second last player to be sold behind Neymar.

It's what's known as a complete shit-show and has occurred due to crooked owners trying to find loopholes, its quite frankly disgusting.

PSG have to sign him. Part of the loan deal they made with Monaco but they might be forced to sell him right after. Like Classical said though, they would probably take the sanctions rather than part with the most exciting French talent. Worth more to them long term.
Yeah you can't lose a talent like Mbappe, he could be something special for sure. I didn't know they had to sign him, thought it was just a type loan with an option to buy.

Cheeky bid for Mbappe with Martial going the other way plus cash? :smirk:

They still have a young exciting French talent in return and with some cash to balance the book. It's better to lose face not signing Mbappe on permanent contract, or not be able to keep a competitive team with sanction on transfer while dealing with selling other players to keep the stars players

In my opinion, if PSG are failing to meet FFP, then they'd rather sell Neymar and keep Mbappe.

It's hard to know. The whole project is about fame. Losing either Mbappe and Neymar is big slap in the face. Then when you look closer, selling Neymar is hard in a sense, PSG may not be able to solve the problem with paying all cash for the release clause. They're at the buying club mercy at negotiation table. They can't ask the highest possible fee; and ff they get paid in installments, it still leaves them short on being able to replace Neymar with quality signings, as they're still to pay Mbappe fee. Neymar's brand value also helps PSG legalize plenty revenue.

Neymar is coming to United and Martial is going the other way

The melts will still cry "Martial has WC potential, Jose out"
I would personally travel Martial to Paris for a trade for Neymar. I would even book a Hotel for him

I still believe the conspiracy theory that Neymar has been engineering a move to Madrid for two years. Signed for PSG to give them the idea that "hey look elite players sign here and we are a big club" in return for being able to move to Madrid after a year or two since Barcelona wouldn't entertain the idea (obviously). The whole "Neymar won't leave 200%" narrative was made after Neymar decided to force his way out after only one year. Makes sense as to why PSG would put off buying Mbappe for FFP reasons too since they'll easily be able to balance the books by reselling Neymar.

The bit where it all falls apart is Neymar had a release clause. Doesn't matter if Barcelona wouldn't entertain the idea... if Real Madrid wanted him and Neymar wanted to join then they could have paid the fee, got him straight away and there is nothing Barcelona would have been able to do to stop it.

I think so too. He’s like Mkhtaryan but with more grit and consistency.

Are we talking about Forsberg? I hear he's not been as good this season and his stats seem to confirm that. Martial has 12 goals and 7 assists in 1811 minutes this season. Forsberg only has 5 goals and 4 assists in 2112 minutes. That's not a lot.

Guys, I know it's muppet corner but there's no rumour of Mbappé out, just sayin.

I dont know if its true but i read in spanish media sometimes that Barca/Real have some gentlemen agreement to not do that since the case Figo.

They have signed Auba for 60 million, given ozil a huge contract, signed lacazette for 50 million, have mkhi's wages to take care of. They are not in champions league and that will hurt their finances as sponsor payments are based on it. Wont be surprised if this is true.

They have some players they could potentially sell. Mustafi is one, Kolasinac doesnt even play.

They also sold Walcott, Ox, Giroud and got Sanchez off their wage book. Mertesacker is retiring and has hardly played. He will be off the wages too.

They made a profit purely on transfer fees. Wages might have gone up a bit, but that is expected.

That article is almost certainly bs.

I'm guessing Aboomerang was supposed to be part of the summer budget. You don't plan to spend 60m on a number 9 six months after spending 50m on a number 9.
