He wants to leave. And played this season like a guy who wants to leave. Simple as that

They don't want darmian btw.
Fair point, like i said just going off my friend in Turin's info, people he works with want Darmian.

I have a friend who lives in Turin permanently now and he told me the fans would snatch our hand off if €60m euros was offered and that they want Darmian just as much as us fans supposedly want Sandro. To me that's a red flag, why do Juve fans want rid? Is he actually not that good as he's made out to be?

What? No one wants Darmian.

Sandro was superb for two seasons but has looked sloppy this year. Maybe he’s unmotivated or in worse shape than before, but the Sandro of the two previous seasons was a real fan favourite, for good reasons.

I'd be a bit disappointed if we got Fred and City got Jorginho. I've seen each play about half a dozen times, Fred only in the CL tbf, and Jorginho just fits the profile I'd personally prefer for our midfield.

How exactly are City going to afford that fee without breaking FFP too?
City are in a much stronger position than PSG with regards to FFP. City could easily afford him if they were only signing two players as Sam Lee suggests.

Rumours PSG can't pay the Mbappe fee without breaking FFP.

Finally Liverpool got their Coutinho replacement. :nervous:

Also think Juventus have no interest in Darmian anymore, because they´ll feel a bit of pressure to find higher end replacements rather than do more bargain bin shopping this summer.

I actually think Darmian would be a good choice for Juve. Playing in Serie A would fix all his weaknesses including pace and crosses

What is Mbappe's contract situation if he were to return to Monaco? Also, was he mainly playing on the right for PSG ?

The understanding is that PSG are contractually obliged to buy him. But they might have to sell him again to avoid sanctions.
He's not returning to Monaco.
He mainly plays on the right.

Can't they sell us Meunier and Verratti so we can give them a helping hand to sign Mbappe?

Meunier will not fetch anywhere near what they require. It also seems a Verratti sale has been ruled out.
Think they're going to let a lot of fringe players go (Arfa, Pastore, Meunier, Silva etc). They will struggle to move all of them on.
In the end, I think they will not sell Mbappe even if they get sanctioned.
They are also being investigated for inflating commercial deals. So they could get in trouble, regardless of what they do in the market.

Why would PSG sell Mbappe if they can sell Kurzawa, Silva, Meunier, Draxler, Rabiot and Pastore? It won't happen.

Would take up our entire summer budget (pre-sales) and he'd probably prefer to go to City or Madrid.

If possible, it would still be a no-brainer. We'd recoup plenty back in marketing and our first XI would be significantly improved. Re-sale value ensured. Even if he'd prefer another club, I'd want us to fight for him and for City or Madrid or whoever else to have to pay PSG more and him higher wages.

Yeah, it won't happen but I suspect they will struggle to move all those players.
The added thing is, you're selling a bunch of squad players and can't replace them.
Leaves the squad very thin.

This is a myth.

I can already see City doing a transfer or 2 before the WC and mass panic here, 2:0 to City, we're dilly dallying while our rivals are buying and strengthening.

Would be hilarious if they had to sell him because no club is going to give them the £160m they paid for him. Have him one season, plays well, makes a loss of £50m whilst losing the player

Don't watch PSG often but isn't Mbappe just better as a striker ?
He still does very well as a right forward. 16 goals and 14 assists from RF in 27 apps this season (21 goals, 17 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions).

Here, I don't think he'd have as much freedom as he does there or would at another club. Would still be a nice signing but would prefer us to sort out our other deficiencies in the team as well as signing someone to play on the right.

Great stats tbf. Didn't know he's that good there as he always stroke me as a striker.

He'll be great addition but as you say, we need to cover other deficiencies in the main lineup and Mbappe will cost at least 140m, which might be our whole budget. We can get a cheaper RW than him while still being good and also still gave enough money to buy the fullbacks and midfielders we need.

Although Mbappe is very good, I don't see us going for him, especially with that price tag.
Maybe Madrid would be interested as they have to replace one of their forwards this year.
Other than that, I can only see City being able to afford him. They have been trying to sign him for 2-3 years now and the Sheiks have a good relationship with each other I'm sure

Whats the Sheiks relationship got to do with it? If PSG don't sign him, he's a Monaco player who are owned by Dmitry Rybolovlev, who is Russian.

True. And City can also go for One year loan with obligation to buy contract if they really want to sign him.

PSG have to sign him. Part of the loan deal they made with Monaco but they might be forced to sell him right after. Like Classical said though, they would probably take the sanctions rather than part with the most exciting French talent. Worth more to them long term.
