Looks like he is headed to China in 1/2 years, and earn a lot of money. he is revered there as "Monkey God" apparently.http://metro.co.uk/2018/03/29/real-...manchester-united-target-gareth-bale-7426106/
New Update on Gareth Bale. Madrid want their investment back after 5 years. I don't think he's worth that much now. What do you guys reckon?
With the money being quoted for various players, we should just start buying clubs. Lazio are only valued at around 100M, but they want 150M for SMS.

Where did you see Lazio is valued at only 100M?!
But I agree with your point that the price the clubs are quoting for our transfer targets is insane, we should spend more sensibly and even compromise in few positions.
We should be smarter... hopefullyImagine signing Bale and Vidal for around £150m....I’d give up on football.

€50M for a 31 year old. That would be amazing.
Yes and no.
Yes it sounds high.
But no, fees have escalated beyond belief this last year or so.
Interesting thing is that City have been going on about how they don't pay big prices (70M+) for players. To get an Isco who only signed a new contract last year they would need to break the league transfer record. Obviously they'd be able to afford it but would be a quick end to a stance that Guardiola said the City board had just a couple of months ago.
If what Alvarez said is true (by all accounts he's pretty much the City version of Ornstein) then it must mean David Silva's on his way out which is a massive shame for the league. Hope all goes well with his son.
True, but the player is not the player he was when the Caf went full muppet mode a few years ago. I hope we stay clear of him, Bale and any other insanely pricey +30 year old or veteran crock.
I know, but that is what Guardiola has been saying.Don't pay big fees.
How many £50m defenders have they bought?
In fact what how many of the all time top 10 defender transfers have they been involved in? Bar Van Dyke must well be most of the top ones?
“Maybe people will not believe me, but the club doesn’t have that money. No, not even City.
“There are salaries we cannot pay. There are aspects of the transfer we cannot pay. That is the truth.
“Maybe in the future it’s going to happen. But we haven’t paid £100m, or £90m or £80m for one player – and we cannot pay that right now.”
He's not lying is he. He has spent a lot, but got the players he wanted. We have spent loads, didn't get everyone the manager wanted and are a distant 2nd. So hopefully we will get it spot on this time round.I know, but that is what Guardiola has been saying.
The scenes if we bought Bale, and then played him on the left wing!
I was intrigued by the prospect of signing him on the cheap a few months ago, but signing a 29 year old Sanchez on a 3 and a half year mega contract put an end to that.
@Sandikan
He's certainly capable of 2-3 seasons at the very top level, he's still a top player. But we've got too many problems fitting the players we've got here already into a cohesive attacking unit and we do not need another player on the decline that needs the team to adjust to him as oppose to vice versa. Maybe he can be a good lad, take a pay cut and rejoin Spurs.
We should at least take a serious look at Doucoure imo. Quality most of the time ive seen Watford.
You're making it sound like we made a hash of the transfer market. We only missed out on Perisic and he wouldn't have made a massive difference. 8 out of 9 players with most of those signings done early means we've been one of the most efficient teams in the league in bringing in players the manager wanted. Even Pep missed out on Laporte and Isco last summer plus Sanchez and Mahrez in January. He's not lying is he. He has spent a lot, but got the players he wanted. We still have issues with the team and a lot of players to shift. Anyone they buy is window dressing.
That's their market cap. Makes sense because they barely turn a profit, and their stadium is a heap of shit. Their total operating revenues in 2016 was 91M euros.
Interesting that. I am not sure on the debt to equity ratio of Lazio, but assuming its similar to most other clubs, I have to say Lazio is poorly run business since just one of their "assets" is valued around 100M, yet their market cap is just 100M( it can happen but its not so common actually). maybe their stock is undervalued. That's their market cap. Real would accept only £75m for a top player to a Champions League favourite in a market where Pogba has already cost £89m, Lukaku £75m, Dembele £97m, Coutinho £142m and Neymar £200m? That fee must be too low for a tabloid
You mean they sign someone who will strengthen their squad even more, even though they don't need him? Someone who is ready to reach his prime and would be just what United need? While we go after someone who has an awful injury record, who will likely injure himself swinging his putter and is coming toward going over the hill, but we will sign him because he is famous.
Theres 10,000 empty seats at the Emptyhad. Just sayin.
It does not really matter... The moment they start winning trophies one after another and play entertaining football like they have done, it won't be long till those seats are all occupied. They were just noisy neighbors to begin with... They are much more than that now. Just sayin.
