That's terrible. Not overly keen on James but i'm sure he could turn out to be a great signing. That'd surely mean him as a ten in 4231. Rest of the lineup looks fine apart from Rooney, Gaspar might be a decent punt.
But like you, I don't see a place for Rooney, but we all know if he doesn't get sold which I doubt he will, he is going to start if he is fit. If it's a 4231 which looks pretty imbalanced then..

Ibra
Martial - James - Mahrez
Schniederlin - Rooney
Shaw - Mustafi - Smalling - Mario Gasper

Rooney will litterally have to be told/limited to play the Scholes role and out his energy into tracking back.

Edit: Mario Gasper has been great this season, La Liga watchers will know he has been one of the best RBs if not the best RB in the league also got a powerful shot in him

Hope the Mane link resurfaces. We need pace aggression and directness in our front line and this guy has it in abundance.

As soon as the final whistle goes at the FA Cup final, I'm staying off here all summer.

I just can't go through it again. The muppetry, the heartbreak, the quickly dashing from the Griezemann thread to the Varane thread to the Ibrahimovic thread in desperation.

I just won't do it to myself again. I'm ignoring the transfer noise this year.

You're not fooling anyone. :D

Do you believe it? Could it mean that Lucas is off?
Zlatan is gone, that frees up a place in the front 3, plus we were already a little light in numbers after Lavezzi left. There is not any credible rumour of Lucas leaving yet but you never know.

According to L'Equipe CR7 and Neymar look increasingly unlikely, so naturally we'll sound out the next best options to see who can be realistic.

Will Cavani take Ibrahimovic's place or do you think you bring someone in like Lukaku?

That'd be interesting but probably not worth the time :)

Ye, i'd say less than 1 in 20 for sure. 1 in 51,7 is my guess.
I've wanted to do this for a long time but every summer I was too busy. This one looks more quiet, plus, I expect crazier times because of the new TV deal. :D

Journos say Nasser want to keep and extend Cavani but I wouldn't be that surprised to see him leave.

Raiola would surely like to see Lukaku replace Zlatan in Paris but I don't think the club shares the enthusiasm.

Thanks. Appreciate it.

Higuain is amazing, no idea how you can downplay his ability. 35 goals in 41 appearances this year for Napoli. Only 28. Would be an excellent signing for either (or us).

Cheech has a pretty good record too this season. Higuain is just slightly better than him for me.

I think PSG have a good chance of getting Sanchez. I get the impression that he isn't happy at Arsenal and Wenger staying on as manager isn't going to help change his mind.

Thanks. Appreciate it.
My pleasure.

In ordor to finish the PSG rumours round up:

Interest in Joao Mario according to O Jogo.

Agreement with Lo Celso and Rosario Central.

Goal scoring burden, spearhead the attack, mentor the younger players? How much can a man take? While also improving the dressing room chemistry. Let's not forget he will cost us a shitloads of dough. Is there anything else you would like to add to the list?
For a start carrying the goal scoring burden and spearheading the attack are basically the same thing i.e. his job as a world class striker. As for the dressing room "chemistry", I said he'd bring a winning mentality, that's not a task more an effect of him simply being there. There's no need for me to add anymore to the list when your already adding your own stuff - I never even suggested he should "mentor the younger players" so I don't know where you've got that from, enlighten me?

Him costing a shit load of dough is also contestable. Yes his wages will be astronomical but that will partly be compensated by the fact we won't pay a transfer fee. What's more, who really cares? So long as it doesn't impact our ability to compete for other signatures then we can afford it. I'm sick of seeing our club doing so well financially whilst we struggle on the pitch, if there's someone out there who can improve us then splash that cash.

Its possible. But he has two years left on his contract so he would really have to put up a big fight to force an exit, and I'm not sure he is that kind of guy. The more likely scenario would be us keeping him for another year with the understanding that if he wants to leave next summer (to a non-competitor) we won't stand in the way. A bit like how Liverpool dealt with Suarez.

Of course, PSG could also just offer a truly stupid amount of money that Wenger would have trouble turning down.

I imagine that PSG would rather have Hazard - he is younger, speaks French, more marketable, etc. But Hazard seems most likely to go to Madrid if he moves.

Shame those two seem to be awful when pressed. Our defenders would have to bypass them to reach the quartet infront.

None of them can shield the ball and are unlikely to play a pass to unlock a defence. Both like their crossfield passes...

If he's only got 2 years left on his contract then that's a risky move. You'd be going into the next summer with just a year left on his contract so any club with an interest would likely have the upper hand in negotiations.

It seems PSG wants everyone. They'd struggle to fit Ronaldo, Neymar, Griezmann, Joao Mario, Hazard, Sanchez, Morata and God in the same line-up.

That's true. My point is simply that Arsenal still have some considerable leverage now. If Sanchez goes on strike and refuses to play, they'll still have to sell him. But if he is just mildly pissed off and looking for an exit, there is plenty of room for reaching an agreement that would keep him at the club at least one more year.

The other possibility is that they strike the deal to let the player move the following summer if he wants but also sign a new contract to ensure they get a full fee - like Suarez did with Liverpool and like United may have done with De Gea.

Is there anyone PSG aren't in for this window?

They are losing their most marketable player this summer, no doubt they will bid for every top player out there.

Don't. Please don't. :(

Why can all these teams abroad sign or agree to sign players, yet teams here just wait until the season is over and then moan they can't get who they want? Apart from City who seem to be quite active.
I suppose their standard operating procedures Scouting a Player and Preparing a Bid are more efficient.

I don't recall France Football ever being right on PSG transfer dealings recently, and bidding doesn't equate signing a player. I don't know João Mario first hand but I like the profile.

Unrelated but always nice, Verratti extends one more year.

#DonttouchVerratti

Would love to see him at Barca, just to piss PSG off. But seems unlikely in the near future, the fecker is happy in Paris.
