Dont mind madrid getting him for 50 million as long as degea stays here. Hope chelsea replace him with a shit keeper.
Who would they replace him with is a good question. I think it'll be out of Fraser Forster, Butland or Donnarumma

The kid is 17, dont think he moves.
Forster and butland, wellThey are not upgrades, slight downgrades.

They have Begovic, who isn't that bad. But considering its an Italian manager, he'd want a top quality GK- Ter Stegan or Navas maybe

Would be a top signing

Would most likely go to PSG.
I think PSG's on loan goalkeeper Areola has had a really good season at Villareal and is probably going to be their long term #1. I could be wrong though.

2 window transfer ban, means Real aren't buying anyone!

Don't think they'll be banned for this summer's transfer window considering the fact we haven't heard anything about their appeal yet. As things stand, they're free to sign new players this summer.

It is likely that the appeal will be heard before the window opens.

Appeal prior to July 1st, so will know before they're able to register any players. Is a cast iron case, so a ban should result.

Hope so, though I'd like to see them sign Courtois instead of going back for De Gea once their ban expires even if it means allowing them to sign players this summer. I obviously have an agenda against a certain team, so I guess I should run for FIFA/UEFA president.

Bloody Sun. Probably makes it less likely to happen.
It's my fault - when he scored tonight, I posted in the La Liga thread "Sign him up ", and suddenly there's a story linking him with us in the Sun :nono:

Sell Rafael + persist with shitter full backs like Valencia and Rojo = Vangle logic.

Not really, he is incredibly injury prone and barely made a difference to our season last year. I don't understand how United fans bemoan our lack of success yet are willing to emotionally let go of players that are no longer contributing to the club. He's not even made 20 appearances for Lyon and is still getting injured constantly. Perhaps he could have added when Valencia was injured but having so many injured fullbacks was an anomaly, besides he probably would have gotten injured with them all. It was time for him to go, same applied to RVP, Welbeck, Anderson, Cleverley. I understand he was a fan favourite due to his love for the club, but if we are to progress getting rid of injury prone players and deadwood is a must and that is what happened.

I must add, by no means am I saying LVG is a good manager or whatever. He has made plenty of mistakes, like selling Hernandez.

That's true, but Van Gaal is persisting with lesser players that are prone to injuries as well. If Rojo is getting chance after chance as a starter despite being utter garbage and just as prone to injuries, then Rafael deserved the same thing.

Anyway, let's not get into that right now as it'd derail the thread. I wasn't opposed to the sale of Rafael for some of the reasons that you pointed out, but after seeing Van Gaal's double standards it's incredibly frustrating. Borthwick-Jackson and Varela have been demoted to the reserves despite performing better than Rojo and Darmian. Varela got punished for his poor half vs Liverpool, yet many other "senior" players get away with it week in, week out.

CBJ is injured, no?

Arsenal have met his entourage repeatedly. 25 million Euro clause.

He'd be a Cech-like signing, in that he's exactly what they need and he'd improve them massively.

On that basis I can't see it happening.

He's the perfect signing for Arsenal. Represents everything they lack.

25 million Euro clause? We should be in for him if it is that low.

To be fair if it's just 25 then we should gamble it for two obvious reasons. Primo, he's pretty good, we could do with another CDM given that Carrick's over the hill, Schweinsteiger unreliable and that leaves us with just Schneiderlin who might as well play the box to box role. Secundo, Arsenal need a CDM even more than we do and we should stop them from getting him.

Don't think Schneiderlin and Kante is a good mix of CDM. Both aren't particularly great on the ball. I still have faith in Morgan to step up.

I'd rather cockblock them from getting Xhaka than Kante. Xhaka is way more comfortable on the ball and provides a good contrast to Schneiderlin and Herrera, who should both be staples of our future midfield.
