So City are weak at centre back and in midfield, but they are looking to add Sane to their list of Sterling, Silva, Nasri, Navas and De Bruyne? I don't understand that club sometimes.

Arsenal as well. Crying out for a striker, a centre back and a defensive mid but they're looking at Sane to go along with Sanchez, Walcott, the Ox, Ozil, Cazorla, Welbeck etc.

We're not the only club with mixed up priorities.

But we're the only one of the three to play soul destroying football, out of the CL and soon to be out of the title race...

I like how that Mark updated his twitter handle after DiMarzio replied to him
Can we have the tweets only tab added to the home page like this summer? Tedious to go through pages to get a tweet.

He looks a lot like Torres. Bit of a strange deal as aren't Atletico overloaded with midfielders?
Is that definitely not Torres? I'm not even kidding they could be brothers.

 That is Torres. This is the other guy (the guy to the right in the tweet):

The picture is misleading - the player at the front is Torres, the guy on the right is Fernandez

Ah, well don't I feel foolish.

We would regret missing out on Sane for Anderson. Gone are the days when technically adept players was the thing. Sane is very good technically but also has a far more superior footballing brain. City are wise going for this boy. Sane vs Anderson is like Bolasie vs Zaha.

It is starting to symbolize the reversal of fortunes between the two clubs.

Why the heck are we not in for Mane. We should be able to get players off Southampton even in January

Nothing links in the media symbolize the shit sticking against a wall journalism we have to put up with these days.

He can talk all he wants. Throw that crazy F. Anderson sum at them and let's see what happens.
They don't need to sell with the money in the prem these days. He's an important player so they'll want to keep him. Not the same Southampton as a couple of seasons ago. Might be more chance of a deal happening in the summer but if people get their wish and van Gaal leaves, a new manager would have different targets.

For those that watch Serie A, how capable/consistent is Anderson at beating players from a standing start?

Last year he was very good at it, this year he doesn't look arsed, he fell out with the manager and doesn't seem to want to play for him.

It's like we are playing a version of FM that is always two years out of date.

That's a tad sad.

The fact we'd be letting City get the superior player for less money is what he means, I imagine.
He'll cost as much as Martial, not a chance he'll be the cheaper player. Their sporting director said City couldn't afford Sane.

I'd imagine that is the response he would give considering a club comes in mid season to unsettle a key young player. Martial kind of money will change the tune in summer. It would be silly to even contemplate selling Sane now. i think it's just a ploy to prep the lad for a transfer in the summer. This is where we need to start setting the foundations down. Maybe agent Basti can do a thing for us here?
