It's always helpful to have hope or faith. If Dortmund sign another attacking midfielder (or promote from the academy) there could be a chance but Dortmund's attacking back-up options right now are similarly stretched than United's.I know its been said so many times but why the hell did we let him go, madness.

You'd want more than that for a 35 million pound signing. Is he actually a gifted dribbler or knock and run?
Going by YouTube highlights, he appears to be no better than Young when it comes to dribbling.

He's definitely not just knock and run. But he isn't close control Hazard or Martial either. I would put him around Sadio Mane level of dribbling. Lazio are a counterattacking team so he's had to depend more on his raw pace. But I've seen him beat players from a standing position many times in games they were on top.
Hasn't he been playing primarially as an AM though?

That logic is a bit flawed as Mane's close control is probably better than Hazard's. Btw Berahino to Pool? Would be delighted with that. Would mean we are not in for that overrated averageness.

i disagree. But what I have no doubt about is that, his dribbling is a lot better than everyone in our squad bar Martial. He's also far more explosive in terms of pace over 10 yards than everyone in our squad including Martial.

Yep. It would be a risk coming to us when he's developing so well, but going to City loaded with top attackers would make little sense.
If he's willing to move, which I doubt then we should be in for him.
Many of the posters in the January signings thread have been throwing his name around.
We've only been tenuously linked with him a few months back, hardly meltdown material though.
If City went out and bought Mane I could see a meltdown for example, not a young player we've barely been linked with
I'd prefer Sane to Mane personally. Looks potentially a top player whereas Mane maybe a step below. Of course the former has to improve lots but he's one of the best around in his age group, so I'd take him. We could do with both though.
Bony is a bit crap though. They'll probably sell him as soon as they get Sane.
