Rooney is finished and Martial isn't ready for the responsibility. We need a new striker pretty badly.

He is a fantastic player, no doubt. The biggest problem I have is that he is not a RW and is not fast enough to help us penetrate stacked defences. He works with two rapid players outside of him that he can do his intricate passing to and who take away attention from him.

He played 90 mins against Malmö on the 8th Dec and got three assists, then was ignored after that. No matter how well he does, when Modric, Kroos and Rodriguez are all fit, they're preferred, and it seems that Benitez prefers Kovacic and Casemiro over Isco too.

Bravo plays league games. Ter Stegen plays cup games.
His good technical actions do not always end in something useful ( assists , passing,attacks,etc ) ,he makes the game slower keeping too much the possesion , he does not like to defend. James accelerates the game, his actions are often more useful and is tactically better (in my opinion).
According to the press he didn´t play the last two games because was punished for Benitez (a video in the bench laughing to see Kroos)
I know some Madrid fans who are convinced he's off in the summer.
He might leave but everything can change in a couple of months with a new coach and some confidence.

Kroos like Herrera is best deployed as the attacking midfielder in a 3 man midfield. He'd be an excellent addition to take Fellaini spot in the 4-1-4-1 we played last season but he's not remotely good enough defensively to play in a midfield two.
