They play different positions. It will be Navas under threat.

Yep, sadly it seems City would be the right move for him. Would have been nice if he wanted to play under Klopp though.

City must be looking to offload Nasri, Navas and Bony.

Don't want Berahino specially for the money he's going to cost. He's got the right attributes (pace, etc) but not sure he's any better than Origi or Ings who we already have.

City buying Sane and us pissing away £35M on Felipe Anderson would sum up where both clubs are at right now.

Scattergun policy. The only ones we have done any kind of scouting is Shaw and Herrera. The others are either ones LVG has worked with or if enough papers mention them we will sign them.

It feels like we are scraping the barrel and paying a fortune for the privilege.

Is it really scattergun when we scouted him last year and had a bid rejected in the Summer? Seems like a long term target to me

Sane looks a proper top player in the making. Felipe I'm hearing nothing special about. If those two happen city will only move further away. Silva, de Bruyne, sterling, sane, Toure and aguero. Gulp.

Either way we have narrow the gap between us and city rather than get inferior players.

I've watched quite a bit of Shalke this season and I'd say Sane has Martial level potential, all he needs is to do is add more consistent goal scoring, same as Martial needs to do. I really can't think of anything positive to say about Felipe Anderson, he looks fairly one dimensional and mentally fragile.

Are we talking about Anderson, if yes he was good last season. If they had scouted him this season it is not the same player. I think someone has said he has been injured, he'd fit with us there then and has not come back the same player. If fact when I have seen Lazio he has been on the bench more often than not. Are we just going to keeping chosing Brazilians and hope one will turn out good for us someday?

When was the last time a 'big' player moved from Serie A and looked good in the prem? Feel like that transition barely ever works.

This talk of Lucas Moura makes me sick too, the man rejected us to sign for PSG, what are we like waiting for him, looks pathetic "Please give us another chance, we'll pay you even more money"

This is Manchester United we're talking about here, even with the state of the club now we can attract players that actually want to be here.

Directly, maybe Zola. But a lot of players have being in Serie A moved elsewhere and looked good in the prem.

His head isn't in Lazio, the same way Di Maria's head wasn't at United and Hazard at Chelsea. It's very hard to judge Anderson atm and if United have scouted the player over his career and see this as a blip then I don't see a problem. Apparently Lazio backed out of a deal when Anderson thought it was a certainty and has found it hard to get over it.
I don't know what his nationality has to do it with it personally, when is the last time a top German player travelled well? KDB is belgian but City have paid a potential 100m Euro transfer for a player who thus far can only influence home games. Looking at him in an inferior side in Germany and he dominated home and away. Kross went from this must have player to criticism from all sides in Spain. Bastian has his fair share of critics.
Posters may argue about not focusing on the most urgent positions but our recruitment drive has had a lot more successes than failures, Its not like It's typical United signing inadequate players here.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, my friend who's a PNE fan and goes on their forum, claims Sam Johnstone is training with them today and is signing for them for £1m plus add ons. Too cheap if it's true but van Gaal has mismanaged him completely this season.

His coach has repeatedly thrown him under the bus this season. Criticizing him infront of the press. It does seem true that we had a bid rejected for him last summer but Di Marzio says he's not sure how much we offered.

He should be our back up goalie. It is disgusting that we are letting a good young goalie go, yet have wasted money on Sergio Romero.

Wtf? Mental if true. He should be second choice at the club. Off-loading him for £1m would be yet another sign of the club being run by clowns.

I will be really angry if that's true. He is far too good a young keeper to be going to PNE for a million. We'll end up looking very foolish when he's back in the Prem for a much larger transfer fee within a year.

Maybe he wants first team football and a low fee is a sign of good will towards one of our own?
Plus a sign that he's been told De Gea isn't leaving ...

Also as he is one of our better products, it doesn't say much for our academy system if we nurture these players and then sell them for £1m here and there.

He's 22 turning 23 in March. Best for his career that he gets regular football. Shame the loan didn't come off last summer. Preston fans love him.

That bloke is a bit deceiving. He used to work for Sky Sports so you'd assume he is reliable. But ai remember his getting loads wrong in the Summer. I think he said Sergio Ramos was basically done if I remember correctly

No that was Hunter

They've prepared Felipe Anderson for 40 million for us to unwrap.
So we're getting the guy a lot of people have doubts over, and City the guy everyone thinks will be top class.
