Ogden mentions Laporte and more importantly... Vidal! Don't think I've heard any half decent United journos mention either of them for this summer yet.

That should be a pretty big amount. Easily we can spend another 80-100m without breaking a sweat.
Even more with the sales of Evans, Chich Clev, Nani, Rafa?, RvP? Could reap in quite a bit if selling all them 6? Knowing us, we'll get a packet of wotsits and a curly wurly

More importantly again he mentions Pogba. I'd be gutted if we didn't at least try for him.

I seriously get the impression this guy knows very little any more, once the mouth piece, now living on scraps.

Odgen doesn't get anything right now. I wouldn't be bothered about who he talks about.

I miss the days when we were linked with Huntelaar constantly.

Everyone seemed to think he was crap, but I secretly wanted him in a United kit.

There, I've said it.

Seems a bit mean to not let Louis know the budget before Woodward lets every Tom, Dick, and Harry know it on Thursday.
Yep, a load of bollocks. LVG would of known the budget that's if there even is one. LVG will know his transfer targets and how much they'll cost a long time ago. Hope we shift the last of the shit out the squad this summer, one last huge transfer binge and we should be back up to scratch

Vidal is not what we need, unless we're signing two midfielders this summer (which is unlikely to say the least). I think Ogden's just throwing names without having much of a clue at the moment.

It's just such a pointless article. 'The quarterly account will be released by Untied on Thursday'.........That's it.

Agree with your last point, if we get it right then this will be the last binge to get us back up there, then it'll be three in, three out again.

Ogden seems to know very little since Sir Alex retired. Only semi-decent one remaining is James Ducker but recently he rarely writes anything concrete apart from linking us to obvious targets.

The Vidal boat has sailed - we'll never be in for him again. There's fitter & better players out there than him atm.. He'll never be the same player he was & he can drop all that "best in the world in his position" nonsense now too..

Ian Ladyman and Steve Bates are up there. Ogden doesn't get the big stories anymore.

Absolutely. Sort it now & not have to spend as much again, for years down the line. Aim to win the League & the Champions League next season. If we buy right - that shit can be done. LvG just needs the right players & now he has no distractions to get his 1st choice players in.

Get rid of the deadwood / not up to it anymore (Evans, Nani, Rafa, Cleverly, Hernandez, RvP) & spunk a shitload on players we need & in multiples also: 2 CB's, 2/3 CM's, 2 RB's & 2 Strikers..

Sick of seeing Carrick play CB, Rooney playin CM, Valencia at RB / Wing-back, because we dont have adequate players to play in those positions. Get this like-for-like situation sorted once & for all, this summer..

Could be a case of let us both get a win win situation. Drive the price up if a club wants to sign for your services.

Or maybe we are just not doing any business right now like LvG said, and that ends up with Clyne writing a new contract because he don't know of our interest bar in the media, could be a sign to get our attention and get the deal done.

Who would sign a contract mid season with probable interest from a club with far great potential? In same situation I'd put off talks until the summer (or winter as it is here). If the lad wants to progress & win stuff he needs to keep his options open.

We're not even close in terms of quality, we'd need several world class top players, which I don't see us buying in one window, one maybe two top players at most and a few bit-part players. Take Barca for example, we're not even close to touching them, we play their style of football but they just play it much better whilst also being better in just about every position except GK. (A player who looks likely to leave anyway )

In fairness we have struggled against teams in England this season and we saw how far behind England is in comparison to other European leagues considering the EPL champions (who I believe we're still pretty far from in terms of squad depth and match-winners, Hazard etc) got swept aside by PSG who played with 10 men the whole game.

As much as I'd like to believe we could win the CL, I don't think one transfer window would be enough. Besides, we've seen what buying a whole new team can do, take Spurs for example.

Vidal himself perhaps is not what we need, but his type is what we need exactly, or do you have other ideas?
