I'd personally play him in the middle behind Costa.

Yeah I think that'd be pretty good, and with Costa possibly picking up injuries into next season too (though after a good rest this summer I expect he'll be alright as most of the time he missed this season was due to an existing injury being aggravated), he'd be the next best option as a striker too.

Funny thing is Griezmann is a United fan, and his brother is to. In fact the brother still goes to Old Trafford quite a lot.

He's no fool. He wins and two minutes later starts building again to kick on. Outstanding leadership and motivation.

I wouldn't say its outstanding motivation for the players currently at chelsea tbh. They just win the league quite comfortably and he's already looking at bringing in new players to replace a certain few. It would leave me feeling a little rejected tbh.

It's good for the club and fans though obviously.

Looking to replace your players even if they're really good with better players is only natural for a club aiming to be at the top. Manchester United used to be more ruthless in the past.

Re. Those Ronaldo rumours. A poster on here implied Falcao was happening and it's all because of Mendes. Then the poster said its not about De Gea, rather that it was about something much bigger.

Bit cryptic, and I don't remember who it was. they also that people who know him know not to question his sources.

I could see Atletico selling Griezmann and then buying Vietto.
That would be great business by Atletico. Griezmann's release clause is 60-65 mil €, so even if they are prepared to negotiate with Chelsea they are under no pressure to let him go on the cheap.
Then they can sign Vietto, a great young player, has a low release clause and already knows Simeone from his Racing days (when Simeone was their manager).

It's not breathtaking but it would be incredibly functional and efficient, which is what Mourinho wants.

Spot on, I wouldn't say it's 'elite' enough to match the big dogs in Europe but certainly efficient and levels above the majority of teams in England. The key word you used was 'efficient' and that's a pretty accurate assessment of that front 6 should it happen.

Costa
Griezmann Hazard Willian
Fabregas Matic

Fecking hell that's a good 6

Swap Hazard and Griezmann. I'd then still be after a top midfielder like Koke or Schniederlin.

Fab would get droped...

EDIT: Actually Willian would, and Fab @ no10
------------ Costa -----------
Hazard -- Fabregas --- Koke
------ Matic -- Schneiderlin

Griezmann would prob just replace Remy..

Where would Koke/Schniederlin go...?
A more attacking XI:
Hazard-------Costa-------Griezmann
---------------Koke--------------
---------Fabregas---Matic---------

A more conservative XI:
Hazard-------Costa-------Willian
---------------Koke--------------
---------Fabregas---Matic---------

PSG have embarked on "Operation Keep Cavani." Will it be enough though? My piece for @ESPNFC on Cavani's future. http://www.espnfc.com/french-ligue-1/9/blog/post/2445545/edinson-cavani-is-the-man-to-lead-paris-saint-germains-line…

From the article:
It is a different story for Manchester United. Robin van Persie's best days are behind him and Radamel Falcao will surely return to Monaco, so the club will be in the market for a world-class striker. Cavani would be a perfect fit at Old Trafford. They have the money, the pedigree and the atmosphere. I expect them to make a move.

Fecking hope we don't
