That scoutlist bothers me more then it makes me happy.

There is not 1 top club on that list beside united.

If there would be a real talent there it would be swarmed with top clubs.

But the rest are smart enough to stay away from average.

Pretty sure Youri Tielemans was playing, doesn't matter what other clubs were there, that is at least one player all top clubs in Europe have an eye on

Very harsh on both players, Blind has put in some very good performances this season while Rojo has been gradually improving. Both players are still young and could turn out to be key players for us in a few years, not sure it's fair to already write them off as "players who can do a job". Having said that, I do agree with the fact we need to bring in top quality players this summer if we want to compete for the title next season.

Yeah, let's bash the guys who actually performed quite well. The problem with our spending is that our marquee signings simply haven't performed to their price tag. Di Maria and Mata alone are nearly 100m and neither has over a certain time performed at a level you'd expect them. Add Fellaini as a hopefully overpriced plan B for the future and you'll certainly see that we need to improve on the big signings.

This is Blind. Here in Holland we are bafgled by the praise he had been getting earlier in the season. He will be found out and remain a squad player max if we get true United standard signings in. He is as athletic as a snail.

If you think we need a couple of signings in that mould which a few have suggested on here in transfer threads here and there the past couple of months...
we will keep talking for the next decade about the little progress we made after spending trillions.

Most of the top club use the same scouting network(can't remember the name). United is actually one of the only top clubs that does the scouting 100% itself.

Mental post.

The Mirror running the Pep story too. They were saying that the plan was for Pep to join them in 2016 but it's looking likely he will leave this summer. Hope it doesn't happen.

Aren't City already in FFP trouble? Affording Guardiola and an overhaul of their squad might be a bit of a stretch for them, especially since they haven't exactly got a lot of saleable assets with the age of their squad. Then again, maybe I'm only assuming his wages will be massive.

Pep could help City attract some very good players. Hope its not true. Barcelona --> Bayern --> City. His career seems to be going backwards.

Not worried about Guardiola coming. They'd need to spend loads to get players to suit his system and I do feel his stock is low if he leaves Bayern now. I know they won the league, but it will be a bit of bottle job if he leaves Bayern as they might need to rebuild to replace likes of Scheweinsteiger, Ribery, Robben and Lahm.

They're renewing a lot of their sponsors. In talks with Nike, and they're going to increase the Etihad sponsorships too.

Ah, bollocks. I was hoping someone would feed my delusion that they are a busted flush.

I'm not too worried about him anyway, he's not taking over the best team in the country this time and given his need to walk away from Barca taking time off and his bizarre medical staff melt down at Bayern he seems a bit fragile. He might struggle not being top dog and facing Mourinho again. I'd be more worried about them driving up the price of our transfer targets while trying to rebuild.

I was hoping Pep would join us after LVG leaves. Moving to City would put an end to that.

Clyne's been better than Coleman this year and has more potential, he will be a decent signing imo.

It would be nice to keep Rafael and sell Valencia though, I think we will need 2 RB's if Rafael leaves because Valencia is fecking useless.

No, just a blood and thunder type player like Rafael, defensively questionable too. 18m for Clyne is great business.

He's certainly no more questionable than Clyne who is positionally dodgy, and £18M for a player in the last year of his deal is hardly good business, that's nearly as much as we paid for a top young talent like Memphis.

That's a cop out, Clyne is average, I'd love to see us buy Coleman, is he considered a fancy foreigner?

Yep I'm not a Clyne fan either I don't think he's an upgrade on Valencia, Coleman superior to Clyne but I do think Valencia gets under rated at times .

Valencia is sub standard in that position for me. He switches off completely at times, he just doesn't have those innate defensive instincts for me, which is understandable considering that he is a winger. I agree with Gary Neville in that RB and DM are our most needy positions at the moment.

I wouldn't disagree with getting an upgrade on Valencia but I just think he is under valued. He will be a quality back up and I'd rather have him over Rafael who quite frankly although a better right back is made of candy floss. Clyne I haven't be overly impressed by and would rather have Coleman. I do think our main focus should be 2 centre mids and a winger before right back. Bale should be our top target then one of Gundogan/Strootman (both to risky) and Schneiderlan/Pogba would be obviously a wet dream but highly improbable.

Don't agree - Valencia if anything has been solid with the exception of 2-3 howlers which all defenders do. My main concern with Valencia is that he has taken his defensive duties a bit too far and isn't as attacking as I would like him to be. But generally he has done really well
