But why?
Agreed. If we secure 4th then we will see more activity. Guess we've got our targets lined up already though, it shouldn't be a mad scrambleWell, Chelsea's targets have watched them wrap up the league with 3 games to go. So, they know what they're getting with them.
In our case, things are still up in the air, so it makes sense for them to wait some more

That and the fact Chelsea always secure top targets quickly and efficiently when they go after them whereas we tie up those quickly and efficiently where we have no serious competition!
What targets have the tied up quickly?
Also says that were confident of getting Depay.
But why?
But why?

TRANSFER CENTRE: Decision on Chelsea target Paulo Dybala's future 'imminent', Palermo confirm http://sky.me/1EX1ikJ
to be honest, he was actually very good when he first came. I imagine he just needs better tutelage or perhaps it's his attitude. Either way, he does have talent.
Myths, that Costa transfer took an age, and all they had to do was trigger a relase clause.
Felipe Luis, also took ages. Fab was a bit quicker I guess.
Its not Spurs' Paulinho but some Portugese youngster.to be honest, he was actually very good when he first came. I imagine he just needs better tutelage or perhaps it's his attitude. Either way, he does have talent.

@ManUtd set to sign Benfica youth GK, Joao Virginia, 15.
He was on trial last year
Manchester United have taken highly-rated Benfica starlets Joao Filipe and Joao Virginia on trial, Sky Sports understands.
Sky Sports revealed earlier this month that a host of Premier League clubs, including United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea were all chasing Filipe and Virginia.
Winger Filipe, who has been labelled the "the next Cristiano Ronaldo", and goalkeeper Virginia are regarded as two of the best young talents to emerge in Portugal in recent years.
Barcelona have already seen one offer rejected for Felipe with Benfica desperately trying to tie down the two teenagers to long-term deals to secure their futures.
However, United appear to have stolen a march on their rivals by coming to an agreement with Benfica to take Filipe and Virginia on trial so that they can cast an eye over the pair at close quarters.
If the duo impress during their stint at Carrington they could be offered deals to move to Old Trafford on a permanent basis.

just read these rumours on another website and it is about a 17 year old portugese midfielder named Paulinho from Sanjoanense that plays in the 3th division of Portuguese football (he is an ex youth product from fc porto).

You're clued-up on Portuguese 3rd division? That's some Rain Man shit right there.
A15 year old is hardly the answerSmells like him maybe. Guess we're preparing for life without De Gea.
Talk about a Whoosh.
But come on. A "shadow"?Well, we have had some bloody good teams, so the bar is pretty high!
Yep it's a poor article. Let's wait until the second leg is over to judge Juve.(They were inches away from being 2-1 down last night)Ogden's just being dramatic.
Ogden's just being a twat, as usual.
I don't want to go too far OT but I'd say we were a shadow last season. Next season we can be right back up there as you say, though we will be bringing a different style to when Europe last saw us.But come on. A "shadow"?
If's and but's obviously mean nothing. But we only need di Maria to find his feet (I think Europe will help) an actual defence, and maybe a bit of midfield tweaking. I also think whoever gets Memphis will be getting an absolute gem.
This isn't the right thread but looking back at how Fergie's retirement was leaked and then published by Ogden. It really doesn't sit well with me, yes at the time it was the biggest story in football and it's his job to report on football. But the fact that Ogden got it leaked source rather than from United gives it an air of cuntness. Whether you liked Fergie or not, you would at least think the guy has done enough in the game to announce his own retirement.Fixed
