We've spent £230 million in 2 years, where is our 'super team'?

:(
For all the merriment on here talking about Liverpool's failed spending sprees, we have outapent them and are just sloghtly above them in the table... shocking.

No more utility players or players who can do a job. No more Daley Blind's (shocking that you still see a fair few posters on here calling for more 'smart' spending and finding players à la Blind or Rojo like last summer)...

The battle for signature of Memphis is coming closer to an end. After he's held talks with PSG and Liverpool he's now spoken to Manchester United and Louis van Gaal. His agent Kees Ploegsma has been given the freedom to talk to clubs, once they reach a personal agreement a deal can be done soon with PSV. Memphis had 3 days off this week and Rik Elfrink is reliable.

Maarten Wijffels is the journalist behind that article tho, Rik Elfrink just tweeting about it.

I know, once VI (Thijs Slegers) or ED (Rik's paper) comes up with something I'll keep you lot posted. Doesn't stop me getting excited though, especially since Rik has tweeted it ;)

Manchester United meldt zich bij Memphis Depay, meldt AD Sportwereld.

Translation: Manchester United signs Memphis Depay, reports AD Sportwereld

I speak dutch and "aanmelden": means to make contact.

Right never mind, just noticed you already corrected it yourself.

Very harsh on both players, Blind has put in some very good performances this season while Rojo has been gradually improving. Both players are still young and could turn out to be key players for us in a few years, not sure it's fair to already write them off as "players who can do a job". Having said that, I do agree with the fact we need to bring in top quality players this summer if we want to compete for the title next season.

As writes (naming Sky) that Zidane met with Pogba. I couldn´t find anything in Sky. Besides Mino Raiola was in Madrid´s hotel in Torino

You'd swear Zidane's only function at Madrid is to tap up players.
 He has to do something until he is first team coach. I imagine that for players is nice to see Zidane telling you to sign, more being french.

Yeah, let's bash the guys who actually performed quite well. The problem with our spending is that our marquee signings simply haven't performed to their price tag. Di Maria and Mata alone are nearly 100m and neither has over a certain time performed at a level you'd expect them. Add Fellaini as a hopefully overpriced plan B for the future and you'll certainly see that we need to improve on the big signings.

How trustworthy are sport witness. When did they last call a correct transfer?

They translate from sources around Europe, they don't project their own rumours or have any sources of their own.

They basically look up the rumours some of the journalists tweet to see whether there's a good source or not.

They're like a second opinion. If they think a report has genuine credentials then its likely to happen.

I think Herrera and Shaw will be great players for us - the other three are good squad players, Fellaini was well over priced but that's what you get when you dither like Dave.

PSG to be constrained by Financial Fair Play again this summer

PSG will have a budget of just €48m this summer and will be able to register only 22 players for the CL due to FFP, according to RMC.

Guess that's 1 less 'big club' to worry about when it comes to players. Makes me wonder though how Di Marzio can say they offered Pogba 15m a season after tax. Makes no sense unless they offload big time.

I'm sure after the Champions League final last year the same was said about Di Maria, but as the Summer moves on things can change very fast in football.

'Are Sport Witness reliable?' The question that gets asked and answered at least 200 times every window.

What would be the point of Morata going back? He would still be behind Benzema sitting on the bench. Stay where you are lad.
