Man United had a scout to watch Guimarães' talented midfielder Bernard Mensah vs Estoril on Friday. He assisted the first goal. [A Bola]
Bernard's journey from a regular in the 3rd tier last season to become a key player for Guimarães this year is amazing.
Bernard was essential to Guimarães' superb start to the season. Both faded a little in 2015, but he's on his way up again. Yaya Toure-esque.

@PortuBall
It has been a busy weekend for Man United's scout in Portugal. Watched Pacos vs Braga last night, as well.

According @GuillemBalague #mufc will make another offer for Otamendi, but unless it’s 50m Euros (£36.8m) Valencia doesn’t want to sell.
According @GuillemBalague Bale is definitely staying at RM, while De Gea is the more mysterious one. He wants to see what Casillas is doing

We've watched Danilo a few times this season along with Rafa Silva. Diogo Jota from Pacos might be an outside bet he's had an impressive introduction to senior football.

I'll avoid Benitez jokes and just ask who?

Both highly sought after, Rafa further ahead in his development. Really like him, had a great season last year but stalled a bit this year - injuries haven't exactly helped him though. Wouldn't say he's ready for a big step up yet. Danilo's a more defensive minded midfielder, strong and athletic. Another good talent but again it'd be too early for him to make the step up.

@naturalized that'd be a quality, ambitious signing if you pull it off (if you retain your top flight status of course, looks like that's what Mitrovic is waiting to see). The source is very reliable as well.

Thanks for the heads-up man. Seen 15m quoted for this deal - for Newcastle to be spending that money he must be something, he'd be our biggest transfer since Michael Owen back in 2005(!).

I'm glad to see we are looking at a defensively strong and athletic CM, it's one thing we lack in that area IMO. I remember Rafa Silva now, he's a winger/AM right? Nearly 22 but not ready for a move to a better league yet?

Wouldnt he play where Hazard plays, LW/LF?

Simeone has turned him into a roving number 9 recently and he's taken to it very well recently from the Wide player he was at Sociedad.

Could be a interesting striker prospect for us too.

Also, Hazard has that role anyway and Mourinho likes his other winger to be more disciplined and defensive. Guess he could be a good utility to have in 2/3 positions but would be a bad move from Griezmann's perspective.

Replacement for Oscar maybe, who seems to have fallen out if favour there? It's the only way I can see him fitting in at Chelsea.

Look at Real Madrid, a couple of injuries and they're forced to play Ramos in MF.

They'll be all over Pogba.

Only the one injury, right? And, hardly forced considering they had Illra and Silva on the bench I believe.

Even so, yeah I'd imagine they will be all over him.

Pogba just has Madrid written all over him. I'd be amazed if he didn't play there at some point in his career.
