Can't see Messi and Ronaldo moving in the same transfer window. Both trying for money I'd say

Schalke loaning Nastasic opens the door for Howedes? Or did they need a CB anyway?

Not saying I want him but there has been a few links there.

Di Matteo plays 3 at the back and he wanted to improve the quality of his defence. Höwedes - Matip - Nastasic is quite good for Schalke. Also Matip is currently injured.

Ah OK. Thanks for the info and good.

That's really strange case. He was great 18 old defender while at Fiorentina, and great 19 old defender at City two years ago. Some of us (so not only City supporters) saw him in the team of the year.

And then he stopped playing.

He's still very young, so he will probably come back to the top, maybe with us, maybe with Chelsea, maybe with Atletico or Bayern.

Selling Johnstone would be madness - unless we knew for a fact that de Gea would sign a 5 year extension to his contract, in which case Johnstone should leave. But he could turn into a very fine goalkeeper and I just feel it's too early to let him go.

Jamie Jackson has an article up linking us to messi. Not able to post tweets but someone might be able to dig it up.Messi and Ronaldo in the same team:drool::drool::drool:.

Seriously though the article is based on the idea that outside of Madrid we are the only club that could afford, which obviously isn't true.Bayern could easily and City,Chelsea and Psg could probably figure some doddy deal to get around FFP.

I have seen something like that yesterday, and basically it says that we are the only clubs who have enough revenues, buy none of us can because of ffp. So Messi will stay at Barcelona because no one can afford him.

But United are not in any way restricted by FFP. They could afford Messi and Ronaldo and Bale if they really wanted them.

If he thinks he can just click his fingers and come back to United after spending his best playing years for madrid then he can feck off. We are not some 400k per week retirement home.

Brilliant player, best european player ever. But time to move on.

Here, here, it's just boring hearing that he may want to come back someday, on the assumption we'd just jump at the chance, and happily pay what it takes, personally I wouldn't want a early to mid thirties Ronaldo swaggering into the place under the assumption everything would now revolve around him.

We had him, we loved him, but we have moved on.

Everyone is restricted y ffp, we do not have 200m in cash, and we can't have a 5m deficit on three years.

Of course everyone is restricted by FFP, that's the point. But United's turnover and our new sponsorship deals make FFP a distant worry for the near future. The Guardian article posted in the link above clearly says we are the only club that can afford Messi outright.

That's quite good team.

de Gea
Valdes - Carrick - Blind
Di Maria - Rooney
Bale - Messi - Ronaldo
van Persie - Wilson

bench: Lindegaard, Evans, Rojo, Smalling, Jones, Fletcher, Falcao

Really don't know what a 'credible' paper is doing printing a story like this, quite how we can afford £195 million, on top of one RB, 2 CB's, a midfielder, and a striker is anybody's guess, this on top of the fact we are by no means certain to get a top four spot.

Suddenly we are this endless bottomless pit of money, yet our revenue is set to drop next year, and we have just forked out £150 million, would be surprised if we have anything more than £70-£80 million to spend for this, and the summer windows (net), and useless Mata, or DDG go we have no real big money saleable assets.

 I guess this utter crap won't end until Ronaldo retires.

Ronaldo to replace Giggs as Manchester United manager? 70 years old Welsh manager is believed to retiring at the end of the season. Cristiano Ronaldo, 58, former United star had already manifested his eager to start managerial career some day. Despite that last 20 years he spend outside of football as B-class Bollywood star, Ronaldo is now joint favourite (along Juan Mata who recently leaved FC Barcelona by mutual agreement as his team finished first with only 102 points in Primera Catalana) for managerial post at Old Trafford with Skybet odds of 3-1.

He will then be our next manager. It'll never end!

Damn it, I hadn't considered that

Ronaldo and Messi are my dream wing backs. Cant let this opportunity pass up.

You've lost the plot mate! Lindegaard instead of Valdes! Seems ok other than that!

Interesting if true. Not interesting if clickbait bullshit.
I feel like the name Custis rings bells, though. Is he normally reliable, or am I just imagining it?
