Not in the same room at the same table at the same time. He could have a transfer meeting about Falcao in the morning and a contract meeting about De Gea in the afternoon.

That's not a good idea, he needs to conclude one before beginning the other.

The idea that Mendes can't negotiate do two deals at once

He's a fecking super agent ffs.

I'm sure the angle being spun is that without us signing Falcao he's not going to do the de Gea deal.

Yep. I don't really understand the literal take on the story.

Mendes can use De Gea as bargaining power in his pursuit for a permanent deal for Falcao. Not particularly hard to believe. I'm confident De Gea will sign a contract with us before Falcao's future is sorted mind.

You'd think Mendes was Reg Holdsworths agent the way the press is going on. Agenda ridden shite.

Signing Valdes before agreeing DDGs contract was a mistake. It just fuels rumours that he is leaving... it'll be every day now until he signs or leaves...

Doesn't De Gea get a say in things?

But I want to sign!

Well you can't, you can go to Real and you'll enjoy it, whether you want to or not!

United could equally turn round and say, we're not even going to consider talking about Falcao until we've sown up the contract extension for De Gea.

Which is equally childish, so like I suggested, both negotiations can carry on at the same time, like adults.

And then Mendes will take his hand out of Woodward's arse and, like all puppets, he'll die.

You're on a WUM now aren't you?

No i'm not a wum, i understand that United might prefer to negociate both contracts simultaneously, but i also understand why Mendes, De Gea and Falcao might prefer otherwise, everyone wants the best deal for themselves.

Does Hummels have a release clause kicking in at some stage?

No idea, Muppets gonna Muppet though.

I'm just making assumptions, I reckon half that Dortmund side are there on the basis of UCL football or at least the club has a Non-Euro pay reduction clause that a lot of (sensible) clubs have in place. Considering Dortmunds recent history of financial trouble it really wouldn't be a surprise if they had clauses that err on the side of caution.

Of course I'm speculating to the point of pulling it all out my own arse but then it is that time of year.

That's that fecked, then.

I was right about Di Maria*, Falcao**, Shaw***, Blind****, Herrera*****, Rojo******, Mata*******, Fellaini******** and Van Persie********* and that's just our recent history. Don't hold my inaccuracies on Vidal, Bale, Ronaldo, Sanchez, Strootman, Fabregas, Thiago, Sneijder, Hummels, Garay, Veloso, Cabaye, Lampard, Gaitan, Baines, Koke, Gundogan, De Rossi or Coentrao against me. It's not a bad record.
