Exactly, people tend to forget that he is only 16, and maybe he revised his decision and decided to choose a club with a great academy and great youth coaches. And Madrid (La cantera) is one of the best place for players between 15 and 19 years old.

De Gea is the wrong answer 
It would be preferable not to have 3 players on the books trying to rehabilitate from cruciate ligament injuries. If he's that good he'll wait till the summer, by which point he'll have proved his fitness/form (or lack thereof).

I think Southampton screwed us over in some way on that one. I think SAF said we asked to be kept informed about the situation with Bale when they rejected our initial bid and then they sold him behind our backs to Spurs without informing us. Sounds a bit far fetched but I remember him saying something along those lines.
Too easy to say, didn't really see the clamour for his signing on here when he was stuck on Spurs bench indefinitley in his first few years there and being touted for a transfer for mere buttons to much, much lesser clubs...
A better one to feel aggrieved over would be someone like Hazard, dicking around over a few mill in agents fees, then having to stump up £59mill on Di Maria later...
Doubt it. I don't think Van Gaal is desperate for a signing.
