Would take him in a heart beat, he's just turned 24 and has plenty of years left to get back to his best in order to be perfect fitness in the prime stages of his career. Also I cannot see him costing more than £15 million, I'd gamble that all day every day in the hope he gets back to his best.

Get them both. We have the money. Could see us going for Hummels and Godin in the summer. We seem to be constantly linked with both of them. Cant see us getting either on them this month, though.

Yeah his pace is an issue, BUT Smalling/Rojo/ and Jones are all VERY quick for a partner. Terry is also not the quickest.

Vidic and Bruce weren't that fast either. Pace isn't an issue if you have a core partnership at the back, with someone else doing the things the other cant do. That's why I reckon we'd need more than just Hummels if we are going to sort this defense out. Jonny Evans would make Jaap Stam look like ... well Jonny Evans if he played alongside him. We need to change the centre halfs.

In defence we do. Smalling and Jones are quick, as is Rojo I think? Shaw also has good pace. It depends really if we're buying more than one cb and who's leaving.
