With LvG in charge I have a feeling we may aswell close this thread, doubt anyone will have any sort of inside track on our business... not that they ever did.

Pointless speculation is about 90% of the fun, though.

Absoutely, I just have visions of heads on pikes outside OT if any of Louis plans were leaked, get the impression he'd crush more heads than Fergie even.

Doubt we'll be seeing Woody boarding any jets or some of the other shite we saw last year.

I hate it when United put in performances like today because I then just want to buy everyone and anyone.

You're still going to get leaks from other sources, although Van Gaal might put a stop to Woodward's overt briefings.

some of us like to hear links about other clubs as well. I agree we probably wont hear much on united dealings though

In exactly 29 days, Harry Redknapp will be giving an interview to a Sky Sports News presenter as he leaves the club offices / training ground from his car window and telling them that the chairman is inside still working on something.

Di Maria, Blind and Rojo rumours were all reported in the press before they actually happened.

They were reported when they were almost certain to be completed.

I think that only applies to Rojo. Di Maria to United was first reported during the world cup, so was Blind.

Really? Don't recall watching Di Maria in the World Cup thinking "Oh, I hope we get this guy!". It was only a week/week and a half thing for Di Maria? Blind was an on-going one true.

Nah I heard about it during the world cup, but then it went quite. There was a story that started about how his agent Mendes was engirneering the move, then it went quite, then the PSG stories started.

In what kind of form is Gundogan now?

You could defintely see that he was out for a long time at the beginning. He looked a bit chubby and rusty, but he improved with every game and did quite well in December. Still some way to go to become the player he was before, but that's quite normal considering the circumstances. The winter break with a good preperation for the second half of the season will do him good. He featured in eight Bundesliga and four Champions League games so far, scored one goal und assisted two.

As far as I'm informed, he didn't have any problems with his back after those games. I think that if he stays injury free, he could be back to his best for the final stages of the season. I would still take him in a heartbeat, as I just love those kind of players.

We were all in "we'll never get him" mode at the time, since we couldnt even get Luke Shaw wrapped up. I certainly remember talk of us being in for Di Maria (although the Sanchez rumours seemed to be stronger).

In the last transfer window he drove away from sky reporter and didn't stopped. It was pretty funny but i can't find a gif.

Thanks. Glad the guy is all right and doing good.So you think it would be worth the money buying him? Despite the risk of that back problems?
Are you maybe Croatian? asking cause of the nick. :)

Would anyone be interested in taking him here? My Step Dad is a west ham fan, rates him very highly.

Reckon he'd be available this month for about 2-3m ?

Not sure. Is he a big enough step up in quality compared with what we have? I only expect us to sign one centre half either in January or more likely in the summer, and I'm not sure if he can come in and lead the defence.

I think it's more likely Reid will go on a free in the summer than for a small fee this month. I can see Arsenal being in there for him.

Remember guys Phelan ran the show at United in Ferguson's last few years. He'll tell you as much.

I wonder if he might be in for Nick Powell ?

He might struggle to get in the Norwich team if he is seen as one of the two forwards. Lafferty, Jerome, Hooper and Grabban are all tested at this level but if he is seen as a midfielder he is hopefully better than Bradley Johnson and Johnny Howson who have not been good enough for Norwich.

A team in the Championship flanked by Redmond and Lingard should be quite threatening, I hope they go for Lingard, Norwich has always been my second team.

No problem mate.

I'm happy for him too, because he comes across like a genuinely nice bloke and played some awesome football before he got injured. He gave some interviews after a few matches and said, that he doesn't have any problems with his back anymore. But I'm not a doctor or a specialist with those kind of injuries and don't know if it could trouble him in the long term. In my eyes he is worth the money we would need to pay for him, even if there could be some risk. Talent wise he has everything in his locker and he wouldn't be that expensive, considering the amount of money you would have to pay teams in other leagues for that kind of ability.

No, I'm not Croatian but I get your assumption :) half Irish half German ;)
