MVB's is by far the most impressive.
Probably the toughest league/era in history, and to then have that GPG is phenomenal.

He should be in it, I guess the guy who made this list just named some random top top top strikers/forwards and compared them. What about Jardel, didn't he average more than a goal a game for Porto? Maybe didn't play enough games in Europe to get on the list, but he was an anomaly

Fair to say whoever wrote that is a clueless moron.

What's wrong with that? It may not necessarily be a comprehensive list. Perhaps he thinks Strootman isn't that nailed on. You or I don't know. Selling Mata at a loss is definitely a plausible scenario.Selling Mata, taking a 50% hit on Mata, listing Khedira and Vidal but not Strootman

Rumours floating around for the last two weeks about Mata....But that it'll be a swap for Pogba
You'd think the transfer shite would die down for a while but nope.
I love all the ABU's using the "but we ruin football" line. It's really getting to them.
I this is more a case of we "can" not "will", the club wont just start spending for the sake of it IMO, and in truth I can't think of any players that would be going for that kind of fee in the near future.

I don't support United. You support both Barca & United eh Mitch?
Glory-hunting bar-steward ye
I don't support United.
United, Arsenal and City are the three English clubs is respect most. I know many despise City, but I like Pellegrini and they play football I like to watch. Arsenal under Wenegr play the type of football I like and if van Gaal gets it right at Unietd he'll have United playing great football. And while I respect Liverpool, they do rub me up the wrong way.Sorry man, i thought you said you did to me a few moons ago. My bad

It's not plausible to flog him off for half what we paid. Or where he's criminally undervalued in a swap deal with Vidal, especially considering Vidal's age, injury issues and future value compared to Mata's.

Mata's been pretty shit since we bought him to be honest. He's scored against the poor teams but been invisible against anyone decent. He's getting a free ride from the supporters but he needs to prove himself. As it stands Vidal would be so much more useful to us.
It's difficult to see any player who would be until it happens. Bale went from a great talent to a near £100m player over a season.
I agree regarding "can" rather than "will". Hopefully we can compete for the very best.
Fair point but right now Reus is the only attacker I can see with that price potential and he has a set buyout clause. I guess someone might go big for Pogba.
I think we can, if we lose out it wont be due to fees or wages from now on IMO.
He's not been great but we've only had him for five months of football, and he'd been on the bench the six months prior to that. We know the level he can reach in this league, and that his value could even potentially increase on what we paid.
Whereas Vidal will be 28, never played in the Prem, dodgy knee, and a game that requires mobility and strength and stamina to the extent that I don't really see him playing at the top level much beyond thirty. Not to mention that one bad knee injury recurrence and his career at the top level is probably over.
And, assuming LVG does go all out to sign Strootman, almost all of Vidal's standout attributes can be found in Strootman as well. Whereas, with Kagawa gone, there's no one in the squad with the same attributes as Mata. That's why the only logical way forward in my book is to forget about Vidal, sign Strootman, and keep Mata. That would leave a much better squad balance.
If we're going to ditch Mata this early the only players worth doing it for would be Pogba or Varane, because they are pretty much the ultimate signings any top club can make right now, or Reus.
