Mixed feelings... I really loved Welbz. Followed his progress since he was 12. Sadly, he never quite made the big step up. He's been let go because of the burgeoning talent of Wilson. I know Wilson will be an even better player for us but Danny was the quickest United player I've seen bar Ronnie. Can't help but love some hard-working, fast running, athletic strikers. He was our lad.

But, I respect his will to play more first team football. We have a very important season ahead of us and we can't have someone who is still figuring out his form in front of goal. We need finished products and also help along the next line of talent through.

Looking back, the move to get Falcao must have been in the works since the time Welbeck was told he could leave..

Hernandez always seemed a sure bet to leave and the only reason we'd have decided to let Danny leave was if we had another striker coming in..

Me too, hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip unlikes others at the club but can understand why we'd cut our losses in January/next summer.

Probably Giggs. He's always mentioned he thought some of the youth/reserve team deserved a chance sooner rather than later. Jesus christ, any1 listening to these "Pundits" on talk sport discussing how united will line up and the squad/transfers? feck me not a braincell between them. They must be on a WUM, Its like there trying to be wrong to instigate debate, they seem to think blind wont play because he's a left back. and Rojo is apparently a leftback and wont play cb. feck my life this is torture.

It was exactly the same on Brazil's show this morning. The guy doing the press review at 7 didn't have a bloody clue. 'How must Luke Shaw feel knowing they've signed two other left backs?' he asked. Embarrassing how clueless most of this lot are. Mind I don't think they're that fussy who does that newspaper slot in the morning as they draft DJ Spoony in to do it sometimes and what a complete tool he is.

Signed under Moyes, doesn't fit under Van Gaal. Not quick or mobile enough despite being a fantastic player.

Love the guy but can see him being moved on next summer if a high enough bid comes in from somewhere (Valencia maybe?), not in January.

People keep saying this, but he is unique in the team. There isnt another number 10 left who can score and assist like him in our team.

One of my favourite United players of all time but I'm not sure if I'd want him back at this stage. He will be 30 by next summer and there seems to be doubts over his long term fitness. Despite this he would still cost north of £60 million to buy and that money could be better spent at this stage. Even if we were to buy a winger I would rather sign Reus for half the price due to him being 4 years younger and a world class talent in his own right.
