Indeed needless, but he's a local lad that pushed for a move a few times it seems. He forgot that he was a local lad when he was making those demands.
I guess the break up with Welbeck wasn't all that nice then.

Mixed feelings... I really loved Welbz. Followed his progress since he was 12. Sadly, he never quite made the big step up. He's been let go because of the burgeoning talent of Wilson. I know Wilson will be an even better player for us but Danny was the quickest United player I've seen bar Ronnie. Can't help but love some hard-working, fast running, athletic strikers. He was our lad.
But, I respect his will to play more first team football. We have a very important season ahead of us and we can't have someone who is still figuring out his form in front of goal. We need finished products and also help along the next line of talent through.
