There are just two top strikers in this draft in Ronaldo and Messi and either I can't get Messi until the final then Ronaldo is clearly the best second optionn. Or I can get Messi and I'd probably still keep a tight grip on Ronaldo even if it meant having him on the bench even. Of course I will probably just play Messi as an inside right in that case I think.
That's by the way my problem with very young players . You asked earlier in one of the games, why people have problems to rate players like Vidal, Modric. Well, the problem is that the overall career influences how already retired players preformed during their peak. Sucks, but it makes it really difficult.Point is, over time your average form becomes your standard so being a good professional over an extnded period damages your prospects of greatness.
Why is no one bidding on Davids? Ffs. I never planned to get him for 20m . Well, my midfield is set then:
Davids - Veron - Simeone
I actually bid so early again on Thuram, so that crappy could outbid Pol/Theon on Keane so that Pol/Theon could outbid me on Davids . Worked wellI suspected you would get stuck the moment you put that bid in, plenty needing defensive reinforcements and budgets are tight. Davids is a luxury option for them. That and Pol deciding to chase Keane for some reason, Davids works better in his setup but I suppose he wants to keep Modric left (?).

Fair enough, yeah that's a problem which often leads to misjudging the actual peak.Ah, because you acknowledge when assessing the other peak you are watering it down? I'd argue if you actually watched them at their peak the watering down + romanticism sort of evens up. The big problem is when people were too young to catch DP/Raúl's peak and average out their witnessed performance over the 00's.
Will be happy to talk bids/player swaps if anybody wants Ronaldo.

Well, you could have cost me a lot of money. If I save 10m on all the players I want, because no one even tries to outbid me, it would be brilliant.I actually thought it would have been a pointless raise because of how much money you have!
Would have loved Davids but I thought you would have just kept going up to 30m or something, so didn't see the point.
Don't have that much money, but would cash + any of my players tempt you? PM me a offer, if you are interested!
I would've had such a blast with this reinforcements round
I'd love just to do that in a conversation or something to check out how it would've gone if all the losers would've won and went to reinforcementsLets form a breakaway game with our own reinforcement round. Transfer Muppets Shootout Losers Fantasy Draft.

Only on the Irish Caf.Keane's better than Davids and was going for cheaper at the time, and we had more chance of winning a bidding war on him than against you for Davids.
Only on the Irish Caf.
No one will buy him for 10m. Make it 1mI am willing to sell Lewandowski if anybody would want him. One of the best strikers in the draft and was bought for 10 millions, now he is on sale - money back guarantee if you aren't satisfied after a round of FREE trial.
No one will buy him for 10m. Make it 1m
I am not even buying him for 0.1mSold for 1 mill to the Crappy.
Edit: He is available from 1 mill, I bought him for 10 mill is what I meant.
I am not even buying him for 0.1m
I must say I have no idea why Edgalf have bought Deco here, especially since they already had 4 MFs.
I rate them on par which is a fair reflection of their performances during their best years in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It's only on here where we've got the triple-whammy of United fans, a strong Irish contingent and an audience that mainly watched English football that Keane gets regarded as head and shoulders above any other box-to-box midfielder of his era. Sitting him alongside Davids is no criticism. Not a chance.
Everyone knows how highly you rate Davids but I don't even think you believe that. I hope not anyway!
A sign how much wingers are out of favour. It used to be the case that clear insides were depicted as wingers, now a clear wing option is turned into an inside. Amazing how maleable conventional wisdom is.
Balu would... dunno about othersIt was pretty obvious he was trying to get others to commit their money. Deco, Del Piero and Giggs were never going to suit him. As it stands he is stuck with Deco and Balu is stuck with Giggs and Del Piero for engaging in the same game.
In the meantime, everyone else watches them burn cash bidding for the players no one wants.
I'm shocked Pol didn't go for Davids ahead of Keane though, much better fit, must be another case of raising to screw others...
Will anyone actually get the players they want at all?

Keep it old school and go for outside-right.Winger would have been a better term indeed.
Well indeed.Pol quite clearly will fancy Pirlo, and I would fancy Davids-Vidal in front of him ahead of any combination of Keane, Modric and Vidal.
