Top 4 race 2016/17

With Arsenal and Liverpool dropping points on the road, we are firmly back in the race for top 4. One point behind Arsenal, three behind City and a chance to make it only two behind 2nd placed Liverpool, I'd have taken that a month ago!

Will be a point behind the feckers.

Still complaining everyone were keep on winning? Us and Liverpool both dropped points this week so you are truly back in the race.

Looking like 3 defeats in 5 for Arsenal.

Lucky for them, they've got Swansea next. Or maybe it's a good time for Swansea to play them

Swansea away under Clement will be tough.

Yeah, this is horrible to watch.

Bournemouth down to 10 now. Just waiting for the sting in the tail.

Just 2 points in it now. The momentum has swung. Arse are going to have another wobble once they get thrashed in the CL.

So Liverpool and Arsenal drop two points each, with Spurs and Chelsea playing each other tomorrow.

Shaping to be a very good gameweek for us.

wow just wow. We we sooooo out of this just a month back and then JM inspires an amazing run.

We can already reset our expectations for a fight for 2nd place which was beyond expectations.

if we can get to within 5 points of Chelsea on 15th March, well anything is possible after that. So that should become our next objective.

Great to see Arsenal dropping "silly" points as well.

Very good results for us this round, and with Spurs and Chelsea to play each other we'll have gained points on at least three of the teams ahead of us by the time the round is finished.

That slip by Arsenal puts top 4 back in our own hands. Whether we do it or not is another matter, and like always we will probably slip up next game after doing all the hard work to get to where we are, but to have top 4 back in our own hands after being 9 points adrift about 6 games ago is some feat.

Thats the important bit, which I thought had already disappeared this season.

Beat Liverpool and we would truly be in an amazing place and have created a shitstorm for everyone to take notice from.

Without those ridiculous draws we'd be sat in second place.

Yep, Liverpool game has just become huge. It was already huge because of who it is, but now...

Spurs will leapfrog into 3rd if we can beat Chelski tomorrow night.

Mixed feeling. Good point for the top 4th, crap one for the title race. Oh well, we were never going to catch Chelsea, so "it's ok" in the end.

Crazy but we could beat Liverpool and win 7 on the bounce and still stay 6th.

I'll take that every day of the week and twice on that Sunday. Position doesn't really matter at this stage, it's all about points and gaps. If we win, no team above us will be more than 3 points over us (except for Chelsea of course), and that's a great thing.

What do you wanna come over and have a drink with him?

yeah yeah white txt. The way you worded it sounded like you are already there having a drink with him. hehe.

It is still in our hands because we're only half way through the season and yet to play current Top 5 again, those are direct six pointers. 2nd to 6th could finish in any order still, those H2H are crucial starting with Liverpool at home.

Arsenal have a favorable run of fixtures in January, they'll probably put some sort of run together but tonight must feel bittersweet for Arsenal fans. It's a great point in context of game and Top 4 race but a disastrous one in race for Title.
