I reckon Bild is feeds him some information every now and then and he uses his popularity to advertise for them in return. Calling the Lewandowski transfer wasn't exactly impressive though, everyone would've guessed that (apart from British media of course who were busy making shit up about the player).
Perhaps, but he seem's quite a respected person. I do not think he would make up rumours to try and gain popularity?.

He has not named any names, but I would assume working for sky Bundesliga he get's to talk to some important people. I suppose we just wait and see.

Yeah. Definitely yes. This reminds me when my 5 y.o. nephew is hiding something 'sinister'. It's just so obvious.
Good catch, Arsene!

I don't think he makes up stuff himself, my guess is he just looks at the most promising rumours and backs some of them up.

yeah, I mean he hasn't said anything concrete, or any particular player. So it will be easy to backtrack on what he said. I think it's just positive that our club are making the right noises, and we are finally trying to get a squad that manchester utd deserve.

This season has been dissapointing, but perhaps it has been long overdue.

Fjortoft is basically intimating on twitter that us and Arsenal are making deals for Kroos and Draxler now only for transfer in the summer. Moyes chumming up to Kroos's agent obviously means that negotiations are happening. The question is if we are being used for Kroos's Bayern contract negotiations or if there is a genuine possibility for movement.

Why would Kroos want to leave though? surely we are just being used for a better contract offer. Besides if he was available then half the top clubs in Europe would be in for him im not getting my hopes up on this, we'd probably have a better shot at signing Fabregas and we all know how that went.

A top young German player at one of the best clubs in Europe with tons of other young German talent around him (players he's probably played with for years through various German/Bayern squads) I find it almost impossible for him to leave.

I tihnk this whole thing is confusing everyone. Well, the ones that have the slightest hope he would join, that is. The contract stall must be a better deal, we have about a 5% chance of pulling this off. Reus, on the other hand, may be more achievable under the same agent.

When was the last time a top player from bayern leftnfor a foreign league?

Exactly! He is saying no different from what Moyes has said really, in that we are looking to bring in players and if they come available now, we'll do the business.

Maybe Pep/Bayern don't value Kroos as much as he'd like to be. Maybe Bayern are trying to sign Gündogan (a right back) and Kroos does fear that he'll be left behind Schweinsteiger, Gündogan and Thiago (Götze/Lahm) in the (central)midfield hierarchie. However I don't see him leaving this winter in any case. Bayern might very well win another treble, whereas United most likely won't win a title (and he'd be side lined in the CL anyways) moreover Thiago still lacks maturity/experience and Schweinsteiger has a lot of injury problems, so he probably will have very good chances to be a regular starter until summer and Bayern would lose a lot of depth if they sold him.

Does Gomez to Fiorentina count?

EDIT: Damn you, Hernandez - BFA.

Gomez was most likely cast aside by Bayern/Pep. Hargreaves might have had something to do with his health. However if Kroos does not want to extend his contract Bayern won't be able to do anything about it.

If we offer more salary to Kroos, offer him a starring role in our team, why would he not join?.

There is much more competition in Bayerns midfield, and maybe he feels he want's another challenge?.

Anyway whether its Kroos, Gundogan, Vidal or the likes; any 1 of those would improve us, so im happy.

Technically the central midfield competition in Bayern is not that much. They have 4 solid players for two positions. But then again I havent seen too much of Bayern to know how Pep lines them up. They have a plethora of attacking mids though.

Kroos is the closest player to Scholes out there, my muppet dream. Can you imagine Kroos and Gundogan behind Carrick.

I think he is worried by growing rumours that that Bayern are going to sign Tom Cleverley.

Behind Carrick? Carrick wouldn't come near the starting eleven if those two were with us.

Imagin gettin all three of them. Add Carrick,Fletcher ...over kill

He's only turned 24 and as per Wiki:

Kroos is known for his passing accuracy and his ability to set up goals. He is also labelled as the "Complete Midfielder".

He has been described by Jonathan Wilson as "perhaps the archetype of the modern attacking midfielder".

His passing and vision is unreal, one of the best out there. Not to mention he also has an incredible long shot on him. So yeah, it's not too bad a comparison!
Yeah he's got a hammer of a right foot! And the left isnt half bad either

I've not seen a lot of this lad at all. But i want him now. Get it done Moyesy!

Technique wise, he's amazing. Brilliant shot on him, great striking technique and is an excellent passer of the ball. He's not a defensive midfielder though obviously, he's not a box to box midfielder either. In FM terms, he's either an advanced playmaker but I think he'd be great in a Scholes role.

He's not going anywhere though, he'll stay at Bayern his whole career IMO. He suits Pep's style and footballing philosophy as much as anyone so why would he leave?

I'm still bemused as to why so many journos seem to think that Bayern would be willing to let him go. Mata was a unique case in the sense that he wasn't first choice.

With Pep's midfield masturbation, I can't see any reason why Kroos would fall out of favor at Bayern.

The speed of thought in his movement, passing and vision is staggering and he has great energy levels. We are in need of a dictating midfielder and his drive from midfield is an added bonus - not to mention his goalscoring midfielder. A truly accomplished midfielder.

I'd be amazed if we were able to sign him from Bayern, saying that.

Did you forgot he's got contract issues or did that go over your head? Either way with money everything is possible. Pogba's situation is not the same at all but players will always see the £££. Plus in 3 years time it's not hard to see us as the best team in the world again.. All round abouts when it comes to being the elite club.

I think both Vidal and Gundogan are more likely, which says a lot really. It wouldn't make sense for Bayern to sell and it wouldn't make sense for Kroos to want to leave. Using us to get a better contract though? That makes plenty of sense.

Most of this speculation seems to be based on Moyes talking to his agent but what does that really prove? I'm sure Moyes regularly speaks to lots of agents, it's part of his job. I'm also fairly sure that if we really wanted to discuss Kroos's future we could do somewhere more discreet than in the stands of a Bayern game. Being seen talking to Moyes would probably help the agent get a better contract for Kroos though.

Because the Premier League is a better, more competitive league. :smirk:

Landing Kroos would be one of the biggest statements we could make in the open market. We've got as much chance of doing so as we would in prizing Iniesta from Barcelona, unfortunately.

Bayern don't feck about, and they're not going to lose a 24yr old super talent. It's as incomprehensible as us losing a 24yr old Scholes, Beckham, Keane or Giggs.

Nope. I remember how hard it was landing Hargreaves from them, and he openly came out and admitted he wanted the move on more than one occasion. This is a transfer I never see happening at all. He'll re-sign with Bayern IMO.
