Of course, I'm not denying our quality in depth. But it happened during the summer as well, every talented youth player who was once mentioned as a great prospect is seen as part of the squad to make the numbers look completely ridiculous.

Sorry guys, don't want to ruin your muppet fantasies, but right now we're playing a 4141 and our best line-up for the 3 CM positions so far is:

Kroos Thiago
--- Lahm ---

Neither Martinez nor Schweinsteiger looked as good in any of those 3 positions as those 3 did. They struggled with injuries, that might be a reason but neither is as natural a fit in midfield at the moment as they were in last season's 4231/424 system. Kroos isn't surplus, he's absolutely crucial and I'm sure he knows it and the club knows it. He'll get more money and he'll stay, don't get your hopes up, really.

The point still stands you squad is ridiculously overpolpulated with class :lol: :lol:!!

And so you know I live in Germany and have seen Bayern play at the Allianz this year. I was making a major point and glossed details sorry.

I've never said we don't have ridiculous squad depth, I've only meant to say, no need to make it look even more insane as it already is by including youth players, who are still far away from being regular squad members :lol:. If Hojbjerg looked ready to take up a place in the squad, we wouldn't sign Rode for next season, imo. Much more likely that he goes out on loan or stays one more year with the 2nd team, that hopefully finishes top and gets promoted to the 3rd league for next season. That would help the development of many youth players a lot.

If I buy him of fifa is that tempting fate too much? I bought mata on fifa a few months ago and that worked out well in the end....
 
What the hell does that mean Reus's clause is active only in the summer of 2015? 30m for him is really one hell of a deal if we are in for him. That's almost what we paid for that oaf from Everton.

That you can't trigger it before 2015? You have to negotiate a deal with Dortmund, if we want him earlier, and he's certainly much more expensive this summer?

Yeah I mean it's odd one. And sure, given we paid 30m for Fellaini and 37m for Mata I'm sure we have to pay over than that for Reus. Not that he's not worth it mind.

First is September 1st (before signing Ozil) when asked if anybody expected to come in and second is when questioned about Draxler after the Coventry game

I reckon Bild is feeds him some information every now and then and he uses his popularity to advertise for them in return. Calling the Lewandowski transfer wasn't exactly impressive though, everyone would've guessed that (apart from British media of course who were busy making shit up about the player).
