the german media is not reporting anything new yet. They only wrote, that United is interested in Kroos, Müller, Hummels and Reus. Nothing about a deal. Some united supporter are in full muppet mode on his facebook page. 
I think it's way too low, for a starter at Bayern, regardless of his contaract situation. Hope I'm wrong, tho

He is basically saying the deal was all done even when David Moyes was in charge, Toni Kroos is set to double he's wages at Utd.. expects deal to be announced before the World Cup starts.

No. How often do we need to tell you that. Kroos already emerged at the U17-World-Cup in 2006 and was the biggest German talent then. Starting then he was part of the professional team - but Hitzfeld and later Klinsmann did not do anything. That is when he got loaned to Leverkusen where Heynckes was the coach. Kroos is fully a Heynckes project.
He was not a talent van Gaal found - he was one van Gaal got pressed on by the club - and he had problems all season to make a place for him in the system. Van Gaal and Kroos - all that I know about both of them that just does not fit...
In Germany there is nothing about this rumour. It really would surprise me. Bayern just started their new season talks.

If Kroos were to be available for 20m, wouldn't Barcelona and even Real Madrid (they don't really have a need I think) come in for him? IMO, he can fit Barca's system very well and Xavi is old and on the wane. Would he prefer Barcelona?

You are both possibly right. Crazy wages plus given the main man role. He won't get both at Real and Barca. Makes you wonder why he isn't being given that at Bayern in the first place considering the talent he posseses. Hard to believe he is being let go at 20m.
If Kroos signs, we must thanks Moyes, because without him the support at Old Trafford wouldn't have been that exceptional and Kroos wouldn't have been impressed by the Stadium and the fans.

If we somehow sign Kroos & Shaw before the WC it would be formidable. I'm not getting my hopes up because we're dealing with Bayern Munich, they certainly don't need the money and won't have any problem running down his contract.
Well the odd thing is that he sort of is being given the main man role. He's certainly been the most important and consistent presence in their midfield this year. So it seems strange that they aren't willing to offer him a wage to reflect that.
