If we've signed Kroos for 20m, I'm going to dress us as Kermit in a United jersey and post of video of myself dancing while drinking.

Haha I can't wait for this one

The only possible way I can see the deal for £20m is because changed over to Euro it becomes in or around €25m and another €5-8m on bonuses. I think a €33 million price would be fair* enough for a player wanting out and on his last year of his contract. Its all wishful thinking of course.

*fair for us.
IMO Kroos is not worth €25m, he's worth much more.

I'd imagine close to €40m to open negotiations. For €25m is a steal, don't think Bayern are that stupid..

Clubs agreeing deals before transfer window is nothing close to madness. The reason why Kroos is on the football map is effect of Van Gaal's trust and work with the youth.

Won't be surprised if we'll get him but that price is really below minimal...

20m sterling is 25m euros. That could be the basic fee for someone on his last year. Add in bonuses etc as others have said. Still, 20m for Kroos.

Considering it ain't my money, I couldn't care less what the fee is.

Good age, decent talent, needs a disciplined partner. I'd have Song in a heart-beat.

Of course and no one here will disagree with you, but my working from £ to €, given his contract situation and undisclosed bonuses fee's was the only way I seen that there could be any truth in it. It's all wishful thinking though, it is the Dailymail after all.

Sounds as if talks are very advanced and LVG might have made it a must for Kroos. In which case Bayern are faced with an unhappy, non-contributing player who leaves for nothing in a year or 20 mill in the bag now.

In that case 20m isn't unrealistic.

A lot of people sticking their necks out regarding the Kroos thing. This is looking good.

Even more reason for Bayern to hold out for a much higher price..

I don't really think that's the way is works tbh. You may be right, but Bayern of all teams know that a player can run down their contract and leave for nothing, just look at the no 9 they have coming in this summer.

I just googled it to see if any more reliable site had confirmation up, first page was ESPN and I misread ''United Confident about Kroos'' as Confirmed in my minute of muppet maddness

Disciplined should never be a word used to describe Alex Song.

Robben is 30. If we bid serious money for him it would be foolish.

If he can be acquired cheaply, it's a no brainer.

I agree about Robben, I was referring to the price of Kroos and why it may not actually be so ludicrous.

None of these stories make me feel it's on, it's quite the Wesley Sneijder situation (Mail, Express, Daily Star).

I honestly believe we can sign Kroos if LVG wants him, but lets not forget he was a Moyes target and just like we were in for Carvalho it might be swept away under the rug with the placement of a new manager.

Haha to be honest, after hearing the reports today regarding the apparent VETO by Giggs (which I think is horseshit) I am convinced though, we had a deal to sign Thiago last summer.

Moyes pulled the plug on that one I think mate

To be fair we did agree a deal with him and then pulled out.

While you guys may be right, I'm still not getting carried away. That Thiago saga hurt like hell in the end. :(

To me sounds like 25m bid in for Fabregas. I agree that the pound has more weight these days, but evein with 5-6m more I think it will be more useful to Bayern for another year than selling him on the cheap... Besides if they engage a bidding war I'm sure there are several clubs that will shell out more, namely Real, City, Barca, etc...
