Meh, never liked him anyway.
Manchester United's Toni Kroos transfer chase means a Munich sleepover for Woodward
Manchester United supremo Ed Woodward will stay in Germany overnight in a bid to thrash out a deal for Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos.
Woodward wants straight answers from the midfielder, who helped Bayern knock United out of the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Kroos is David Moyes’ top target and would take up the biggest slice of the Reds'summer transfer budget.
The Old Trafford executive vice-chairman is keen to know if Kroos is as committed to the potential move as reports from earlier this week suggest.
United do not intend to be used in any attempt by the Kroos camp to squeeze a bumper pay-rise out of Bayern.
Woodward will try to convince the European Cup holders that United’s £40million offer - a blockbusting bid first revealed by MirrorSport last week - is enough.
He knows that United face a whirlwind amount of buying and selling in the coming months, but Kroos is key to that strategy.
If he joins, other players can be sold. If he is not landed, United will have to look elsewhere.

I know it's the Mirror but it's on like donkey kong!
When did his agent change from this:
To this:
The Bayern fans I spoke to last night wouldn't be upset if he left and think Bayern are simply trying to drive up his price before an eventual transfer.
I heard his performance last night on my way home on the u-bahn described as a "katastroph" by many of their fans.
We need a Lucas Moura type more urgently, in my opinon. An energizer. Kroos is not such a player, although he's certainly a player I wouldn't mind seeing in our midfield if he had a Moura type next to him. Basically Kroos is better than what we have, perhaps bar Carrick for his defensive work.
Pretty sure PSG started playing him wide - he was a midfielder before at Sao Paulo.Moura is a wide player, not a cm.
He has always been a wide man!Pretty sure PSG started playing him wide - he was a midfielder before at Sao Paulo.
He played as a number 10 on numerous occasions at São Paolo. He has always been a wide man!

For all the talk of media rubbish regarding his transfer, he does seem to be burning bridges at Bayern. I thought he was fantastic over the 2 legs, only disappointing aspect was his shooting IMO as he is capable of the spectacular on a regular basis. Ran both games, makes you wonder why it's taken 24 years to find his position as a deep lying playmaker.I don't get the hatred from the fans towards him, makes not the slightest bit of sense. Thought he did a wonderful job as a holding midfielder for a supposedly lazy and slow AM, who often doesn't care about defending. I've no clue what people expected him to do in the role he played yesterday.
Don't think he's burning bridges at all. He hasn't said or done anything wrong, not moaned when he was played in more defensive positions and fulfilled his tactical roles perfectly. He wants more money, that's it. If we can't agree on a deal, that will be the main reason, imo.For all the talk of media rubbish regarding his transfer, he does seem to be burning bridges at Bayern. Yesterday kinda proved the point I made 2 days ago.I actually believe his defensive contribution is underrated while his goalscoring is signficantly overrated.
He certainly wasn't fantastic in either of the two legs, neither do I think he was bad. Generally though unless we get walloped by a team I tend not to notice how well the opposition players play as much.
Yea I'm the same. Thought he was absolutely brilliant against Arsenal in the first leg of their tie though.
Maybe not with you, but seemingly with other Bayern fans. His agent seems to be adding fuel to the fire at times and the lack of any sort of denial must be frustrating. Then the little strops after substitutions. Small things that might only annoy a minority, but still become a cumulative annoyance.Don't think he's burning bridges at all. From watching him over the two legs, does anyone else think he looks very slow and immobile, almost carrick like. His ability on the ball is great but he doesn't strike me as someone who'd take the game by the neck when the going gets tough which is what we need from out midfielders.

Boom!
Am I the only one that was rather underwhelmed with this lad over the two legs?....It also worries me that Bayern fans don't seem that bothered about him going.
Yet, we're supposedly going to pay £40 million plus £200,000 odd in wages. Are we being robbed blind (again)?
I too wasn't really blown away by his performances against us. I was a bit unsure of exactly how good I thought he was anyway, but I'm none the wiser after the two legs.
I can see he's got a good range of passing and a goal threat, but as far as comparisons with Scholes go, he was so much more than that. Perhaps in timw he'll turn into a real top class midfielder, but at the moment I'm leaning towards Koke as my preferred midfield acquisition.
