The part "Bayern Munich has sent a message to Kroos in Brazil to say they want to know his intentions" is 100% true..........it was in the reliable Kicker Magazine last week

It means they'll sell him in the summer......otherwise there is no need to make so much pressure on Kroos

Spanish newspaper AS report on Friday that Manchester United have made contact with Toni Kroos and that the German midfielder has been given an ultimatum by his current club. Bayern Munich has sent a message to Kroos in Brazil to say they want to know his intentions as soon as he gets back from the World Cup. Kroos hasn't taken kindly to heavy handed Bayern Munich behaviour previously and he's unlikely to be impressedthis time around.

Rumour from spain: player agent Gallardo said in a broadcast at "la sexta" that Kroos is going to sign for Real Madrid. "Real talked 3 times to his agents and he is committed to join Real. He has one year of contract left so his current club can't ask for more than 20-25, maybe 30 Mio"

'Player agent Gallardo' is a hair dresser that says to be a player agent (supposedly Drogba's and Terry's agent in Spain), though he is nowhere to be found in the FIFA's webpage list of agents. He makes up most of his info.

That said, Kroos to Madrid has been rumoured a bit in spanish media.

That's a bit harsh

For those who don't watch Spanish TV...

He appears to be part of some happy band of pseudo-agents and wannabe agents who get used by real agents/clubs to feed stories to the press. I doubt he's ITK except in the sense that some actual ITK's use him to plant gossip, for whatever purpose, anonymously. He did for instance publicise the Ozil (leaving) and Khedira (United bid) stories early.

He's used as a kind of comedy act on what used to be called Punta Pelota and is now El Chiringuito - a sort of football gossip show that specialises in organising a nightly argument between their Real Madrid supporting and their Barcelona supporting panellists. A show that actually does occasionally break news stories, or knows background details.

This has Real Madrid written all over it.

Maybe in a couple of years time, we can get him for cheap, like Bayern and Inter got Robben and Sneijder a few years ago.

Well, Mino Raiola is a restaurant owner

No idea how reputable this Gallardo dude is. He is apperently quite often in the media with such stories and happened to be (?) spot on about Özil, Khedira and Bale recently. He also was the first to break the news about Pep taking over City :annoyed: and recently revealed that Messi will leave Barca for PSG.

The suggestion that the only way to get a top player is to await his use and disposal by Real Madrid is disrespectful to our club.

Possibly, though if we and them are both in for a player, it's basically true. We couldn't even beat them to a Welsh winger.

I believe we're been incompetent in the transfer market for a long time. If we conducted our business in a proper, professional manner, there's no reason we couldn't get our share of top players.

This stuff about the Madrid climate etc. is largely bollox. Real Madrid's supposed invincibility in the market was mostly acquired in recent years by their willingness to spend huge sums of money. Success breeds success. Perez himself said that the acquisition of top players made it easier to sign more. We were left behind because we preferred to pinch pennies.

Hasn't it been rumoured that Di Maria is going to be sold, and Kroos will take his place in the three man midfield? We should look at him. He's brilliant.

Kroos is never coming here, and to be honest, I don't think he'd suit playing next to Herrera.

Don't think that makes much sense. The way Kroos has developed as a player, he's pretty much a perfect replacement for Xabi Alonso. I'd say, Real lost believe or/and patience that Illarramendi will be his replacement and so they went for the instant success option with Kroos instead. I'm not devasted if Kroos leaves Bayern, but I'm still a bit surprised. Not sure, he's the right player to make a stand in terms of wages at the club right now with Thiago, Schweinsteiger struggling with injuries so often. Our midfield last year was a huge mess and he was the one constant we had, still think we should build on it instead of letting him leave, but maybe his demands really were completely out of order, so we had no choice.

And he would have replaced Carrick and upgraded ours. Can't believe we let him go to Real.

I don't think any club lets their targets go to Real, they just pretty much always get their man, so matter who's in competition with them. I hate the cnuts.

Kroos was probably just flirting with us anyway. He has probably got what he was truly after.

Maybe from the moment he heard Real really wanted him, he lost interest joining us? Could be that van Gaal didnt want him, i always thought he didnt rate him that much. From the moment van Gaal joined us, the Bayern fans i know said thats that with Kroos to United. For the 25-30 million euros quoted, he would be a steal.

I am sure he made his own mind up.

:) You may both be right. I don't know what happened, but initially it looked like we were the front runners for his signature and then for some reason gave up.

I personally think that twitter source is a nonsense. Notwithstanding, he probably is Madrid bound.

I'm not sure if I can see us forking out another 30m + on a player, but I hope I'm wrong if somebody like Vidal/Kroos becomes available to us.

I don't think for one second that will be an issue if LvG wants a player.

Hope Madrid get him, might stop them from going for players we actually want.

The reported fee is 30m though, which is pocket change to Madrid..

Can only have so many midfielders before they have to sell someone though. If they do then hopefully it's Di Maria, then we'd have another top class winger to potentially sign.

Im kinda glad that it doesn't seem like we are after Kroos.

For years our midfield has been accused of being Lazy, easy to play through, Immobile and so on. I dont think Kroos would improve any of these observations - a replacement for Carrick????? Why dont we replace Carrick with someone with a bit more drive and more of an engine. Kroos this is not.

If he does move to Madrid, I really hope we don't pick up Khedira.
