You know that Madrid lines up 4-3-3 most of the time, and Isco plays mostly as a sub?

Maybe I see Kroos too much of a deep-lying CM. Alonso will be phased out in next season(s) I guess, so they will have to find somebody in his place and I thought Kroos might be the closest thing to Xabi in his style. And it’s a shame because Alonso is my favorite RM player.

Madrid will need a rebuild after Xabi leaves anyway, they better start planning earlier to avoid a Scholes.

Nope.

I think he'll be away. He's a great player, but I'm not 100% convinced he's what we need. Would still have him in a heart beat though, better than anything we've got.

He's a good passer, like Alonso. Specially good at spraying it wide like Alonso is. But defensively, he cant replace Alonso.
 
I wont believe any rumours regarding kroos except from germany. Everything else is just made up bullshit.
 
Kroos to Chelsea however nonsensical it sounds is still probably more likely than Kroos to United.

With Chelsea signing Matic and now Fabregas and Jose stating Ramires is not for sale, I see no place for Kroos.
Hazard and Oscar will play wider and if they sign Costa he will be the lone striker.

More likely just a leak from Kroos camp aimed at Bayern as the United interest seems dead.

Well if Oscar plays wide like you say (and like he did very effectively the other day) then Fabregas can move into the #10 role and Kroos would sit next to Matic.

But yeah, with Mourinho saying definitively that Ramires is going nowhere kills this rumor. Kroos wouldn't move to Chelsea to warm the bench.

Why would Madrid be after him. Where would he even play?

When have Madrid ever needed a reason to sign a player. Maybe for presidential elections but no so much for team needs. The thing is players will happily go there without a starting place confirmed. It's the aura that surrounds the club. Pisses me right off to be honest!
 
Media reports that we are no longer interested in Kroos since Van Gaal became manger. Still won;t stop them printing "Kroos snubs United" "United miss out on another top target" when he eventually goes to another club.
 
Van Gaal couldn't possibly have said no to him. We just couldn't get the deal done, or he isn't interested in coming. Was brilliant today, controlled, crucial assists,distributed the ball beautifully.
 
Argh if Chelsea end up signing him to go with Fabregas it'll be absolutely horrible, that will be an incredibly good midfield when you factor in Oscar and Hazard too and they could dominate the league for a while. Kroos is just brilliant and I can't believe we wouldn't be in for him if Bayern are listening to offers.

We were always going to have to pay well over the odds and offer higher wages due to no Europe but with Real and Chelsea apparently wanting him it's really no surprise we are probably working on more realistic targets. Massive shame to miss out on a player of his quality, if he ends up at Chelsea our midfield will be so far behind it'll be scary. Also if Kroos does get sold this summer then we can pretty much kiss our chances of getting Schweinsteiger goodbye.
 
I could definitely see him going to Chelski if they were interested for him. The pull of Mourinho, the EPL, a mega pay day, London and an exciting young team looks attractive.

Much like the Fabregas saga, it looks suspiciously like we have been informed he isn't interested.

I think its a wise PR policy for the club to take if this is the case as we have suffered so many rejections in recent summers.
 
Why LVG did not want him is beyond me. A top class CM. And what's more the exact type that we need. He was great today. Given that he did not agreed new deal with Munich and that Real are offering much less in wages and probably considerably less in transfer fees i think we may still have a chance to get him. I genuinely surprised to see Kroos interest gone cold since LVG took over. Maybe LVG considers him an AM, when LVG was at Bayern Kroos seemed to play in much more advanced role, closer to the attack. But now he looks much better at CM position.
 
Chelsea won't sign Kroos. They already have Fabregas, Matic, Ramires and Van Ginkel.
 
If they do I'll be physically sick. He'd be my dream signing, he looked excellent today
 
he was was involved in the build-up for all goals. He´ll stay at least one more year in Munich. Chelsea doesnt need him with Oscar and Fabregas. Real is possible. He would fit perfect in their 433. That said they have already Modric and DiMaria, but that never stopped them from buying players anyway.
 
I don't believe for a second the reports that LvG doesn't want him.
 
If Chelsea get him can we all finally accept that Woodward is more clueless than Moyes ever was.

Yes because Chelsea usually sign the players they go for. We struggle to sign players offered to us with bizarre statements to the press just saying "we weren't interested"

He's better than I thought.
He’s the essence of German NT style of play- always seem to find the best passing option, great weight on the pass, keeps a cool head. This midfield of Lahm-Kroos-Khedira look very well balanced.
