Time for the lock?
It seems to be the trend at the moment.
Interesting article, and the conclusion that Kroos turned United down this summer is actually not surprising at all.
How will we welcome Toni to the club if the thread is locked?
The difference between how we did business with Fergie and Gill compared to Woodward is worrying. I'm beginning to resent that bald man.
Says who? I think all Kroos wants is more money and acknowledgement. He has lost the buzz of being one of the most important and talented stars in the club, with the emmergence of the likes of Gotze and Thiago.funnily enough...I think Bayern would have sold him if Moyes was still here. Its obvious the player does not want to renew his contract and wants to come here...and wants to play for van Gaal...but the bad blood between van Gaal and Bayern has not gone away.
Don't think that working with LvG and more cash substitutes Kroos for no European football next season. In fact, this could have well been his position: If you qualify for Europa League: Deal. If not: Let's wait until summer 2015 and see if you're back on European stage.funnily enough...I think Bayern would have sold him if Moyes was still here. We'll get him for free and Reus for €35m next season.
Next summer is the real summer.
Kroos will demand a hefty, two-digit signing fee which needs to be included in "for free" considerations. I doubt that Reus would sign for United but that's just me.
Not just if Bayern is involved. Provided they offer CL football and are interested, I can see Reus moving to Arsenal. Real Madrid is another option - again, only if they make another offer. If we are back in the CL and ready to pay decent wages than I see few reasons for his reluctance. Ofcourse all bets are off if Bayern get involved.

CL football is a prerequisite. I can see Reus moving to AFC because of a German speaking manager and his N11 team mates. Time will tell where he'll end up next summer.Good luck to him if wants to go to Real as a back up to Ronaldo and Bale. We trump Arsenal with CL football, that's not a worry.

Transfers are becoming our version of Liverpool's EPL titles.
When have we depended on transfer windows to win league titles? If this forum is to be believed than LvG is the second coming of Christ. Turns turd into golden nuggets.
We do now. The squad is a bit average and we're losing pieces by the minute. Also while we do have some exciting talent coming up from the academy there's no class of 92 version 2 to bail us out.

Because there was no wage increase...he did not want to accept Bayern's renewed offer.
Because there was no wage increase...
Which is what he wants! He doesn't want to leave Bayern, as I stated, he wants more money and acknowledgement.....they wont meet his wage demand.

There are no other factors. If he leaves, it's because they haven't met his wage demands.they were close to a deal...then it all went south.
more money and recognition were part of it obviously. But Bayern stance was has not changed. There must be other factors...we are speculating of course.

Bayern and Kroos haven't been close to a deal. If you had followed Kroos' interviews during the last couple of years, you'd be aware how much he strives for being widely acknowledged as world class player in the Ballon d'Or range. He'll move to any club with CL football giving him exactly that "special one" feeling....and how do you know this?
I've never been unsettled as I 've known from his very first interviews in his first season with us that Reus will use his exit clause. All I was saying is that he won't move to a club without CL football; he's not primarily driven by money but silverware as he's 25 in some days and besides of the German Super Cup, has never won a trophy. You have made peace with the fact that he would not sign an extension and would definitely leave?
