It's all getting real lads!!!

Man Utd odds slashed on January deal for Toni Kroos as Bayern Munich talks stall
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...l-for-Toni-Kroos-as-Bayern-Munich-talks-stall

hubba!

Daily Star.......

People should really not get their hopes up here. Stalling contract talks are hardly anything new at Bayern Munich. The extensions negotations of Alaba, Schweinsteiger, Lahm or Ribery all took pretty long. They simply want to get the most out their situations. The chances of him leaving Munich are extremely slim.

Regarding the post from the newbie forum on this page: I don´t think Kroos will aim for a salary in Götze´s region. The latter is not only the better footballer, has more potential and a way bigger standing in Germany, the situations were also very different. In terms of priorities getting Götze was more important than keeping Kroos would be. The Götze deal was not only about strengthening their team, but also to deliver a blow towards the first serious national rival they had in ages.

From interviews and the times I met him personally a couple of years ago, Toni Kroos always striked me as a smart and down to earth person. He knows his worth and won´t sell himself short, but he also won´t demand unrealistic money and risk his place at Bayern Munich.

Thiago, Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Martinez, Lahm, Hojberg
This has been going on for years now. I remember Xavi being linked to a move to United in 2006 when he wanted a new contract. Iniesta just did the same a few months ago. Players and their agents have always used United as a means to get a better contract
fergie was never seen sitting in the stands at a Barca game, next to the agent of said player!.

Do you really think Moyes would want to be involved in some sort of trick to help Kroos get more money?!

Xavi actually said within the last year or so that he nearly did join United then, but in the end decided to stay with Barca. Oh what might have been...

No, but Moyes overall has adopted a far more hands on approach to scouting. Whether that's what he did at Everton or this is part of some sort of pr strategy, I don't know. But I don't think the agent would mind that kind of publicity for his client. Might get contract talks moving if Bayern see those pictures, who knows

My point was that people have conviently linked to moves to United either during or right before contract negoiations begin with their club. Its nothing new, and nothing to get concerned or angry about.

Chelsea in for him as well now doing the rounds.

Spoke to an insider in Munich. Said Chelsea apparently have told Bayern to "name the price" for Tony Kroos. Told player "wages no problem

You would think that a man, who sees himself as somekind of expert when he is in reality just repeating what the "Springer" press is feeding him, would at least make the effort and write the freaking name of the player correctly.

I'm convinced Chelsea don't actually have scouts, just let other teams sound out transfers for players then step in last moment with more money. Already did it with Willian and Salah this season. Not saying Kroos is near signing for us mind... but it's a Chelsea tactic. Essien, Mikel and Hazard are 3 that were due to come to us before Chelsea stepped in. Would say Robben as well, but that seemed our own fault.

Do Chelsea need this player with their current midfield?

Well, if Moyes wants him and we actually manage to spirit this player away from Chelsea? Colour me impressed...

Mr. Peter "Gardening Leave, my arse" Kenyon and the United shopping list.

Ridiculous, Hal.

Salah has tormented Chelsea on a few occasions in the last couple of years. They're well aware of how good he is and what he can bring to their squad.

To me, this would be a bigger coup that Mata. Signing one of Chelsea best players is one thing, but signing one of Bayern is unheard (No Hargreaves does not count, Bayern knew he was a crock)

What's it say what's it say

It is the Aufreger among the fans of Bayern Munich Toni Kroos (24) and its future.

What happens to the star whose contract negotiations falter (under contract until 2015)? "There are no further talks scheduled in a timely manner," says Kroos in the "kicker". But what is behind this?IMAGE explains what is going on.

From the perspective of FC Bayern:

They want to keep him, even on improved terms - but not at any price. On a level with the top earners Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Ribery and Götze (an estimated 10 million per year) do not see him the bosses. Rummenigge recently established why the negotiations falter before. "Because the previous discussions have not led to any extension. There goes any arrangement always about the money.Only this:., We are interested in that Toni extended his contract "Currently deserves Kroos estimated four million

From the point of view of Toni Kroos:

He is a performer, almost always plays. Without show without spectacle, but effective. Kroos is not a sprinter and dribbler. He's Pass players designer. The estimates coach Guardiola.

At least when he plays a strong World Cup, the prospects will be lining up. Especially since they know that 2015 is Kroos free transfer.

Kroos has no time pressure must not sign. In particular, because now Manchester United is behind him and would be willing to pay a high salary.

Friday was United team manager David Moyes in Gladbach, sat next to Sascha Breese from Kroos' agency 'Sports-total " .

Man Utd wants Kroos at any price. Unlike Bayern ...

I just went and had a look at the recent Germany squads to see who his competition in midfield was.

Got depressed and gave up.

Depressed that Germany could put together two front 6s that are both better then what most teams could field?

Just picking the 23 man squad becomes an absolute headache, let alone deciding on a first 11

Boy, would love to think this lad was one of the ones Moyes said wants to play for United...

The amount of talent they have is ridiculous:

Ozil, Reus, Goetze, Kroos, Draxler, Muller. None of which have hit their peak as a player as yet.

The further back (on the pitch) you have Gundowan, and the Bender twins. Hummels at CB.

And there's some young talents like: Meyer, Gnabry and no doubt a few more Balu/Sphaero could tell us about.

And this isn't including the elder statesmen of the side like Lahm, Schweinsteiger, etc etc.

I'm right behind them in this world cup (considering Australia are rubbish).

Nah I like watching teams who are as shit as Australia. Forget teams with talent, I'm gonna watch England go out in the groups and take solace in the fact they're barely better than our unbelievably shit squad of 'footballers'

I know this has a positive spin on it but I can't help thinking that the public association his agent so willingly had with Moyes at the game is to aid their contract negotiations with Bayern by showing them that if they don't pay him more then another big club will. That said I hope we go for him. Offer him the contract and give him a real decision to make. Can't see it happening in January though.

Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos open to Manchester United move
BAYERN MUNICH ace Toni Kroos has hinted he could be open to joining Manchester United.
David Moyes watched Kroos in action last week with one of the midfielder's representatives.

The Germany man, 24, has 18 months left on his current deal and talks to extend that have amounted to nothing.

Kroos said: "I am unable to rule anything out.

"I am under contract with Bayern Munich (until June 2015). Actually there are yet no further talks (regarding a new contract) scheduled.
"I will therefore fully focus on the second half of the season.

"There are worse situations in life. I play for a top club, and under a top coach.

"I am pleased, and sometime in the future a decision will be made."
Looks like a summer deal to me then.

The Jan window was always going to be hard to sign players. Especially from top clubs. Plus I think our strategy this window is spot on, it was going to be hard to sign players so test the waters and see if anyone is interested. As the window comes to a close test the clubs resolve and maybe turn the players head, in that case theres a short amount of time for the club to try and convince them to stay when theres a offer on the table right now.

I would love it if we did our business earlier but this window I can see why leaving it late might be better.

Its just hard to fathom that we cant bring any CM's during this window. Cabaye is a massive upgrade on Cleverly thats for sure, but he wouldnt be my first choice no doubt, get him in anyway though.

I just hope we're not tryin for players that we dont have a prayer in signing, thus wasting time & effort when we should be just puttin a feckin advert in the media - "Players wanted - you cant be shit though, so dont apply..."

Great squad indeed man. As regards to the Aussies - you're blessed qualifying in that region - Ireland will always struggle to qualify from Europe.

I dont get this kind of attitude. The club has a lot of money to spend, and is seemingly about to make one of its players the best paid in the PL, and probably one of the bst paid in Europe. Clearly the club has ambitions, and if Chelsea and City can attract top players then so can United.

As ever, players will be interested. A lot on here underrate significantly the power of doubling someone's wages - when added to the attraction of joining a genuinely massive club with a lot of history, and primed - if the money is spent right - to be challenging in Europe and the PL every year.
