And he will no doubt get them. This will be another Hazard all over.Guardiola's Tweeted comments (if they are his comments) sound like he's inviting bids.

We spend all our time chasing someone who signs a contract at Munich? Exactly like ThiagoI think he'll sign a new contract,so not exactly Thiago.
I wonder if SAF might get involved in negotiations, seeing as he's friendly with Pep?
No. Thiago moved clubs. We spend all our time chasing someone who signs a contract at Munich? Exactly like Thiago
I was referring to this comment - "I just hope we're not tryin for players that we dont have a prayer in signing". The club, can and are right to target the very best.
As it stands, Cabaye is probably better than Cleverly - but I'd suggest its likely that the club want players of an even better standard. If what we have won't get us into the top 4, then I dont see that Cabeye would be the difference maker. No point signing a player for £20 million and £80k a week wages and then having him sat on the bench in 6 months if and when a first choice comes in.

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has suggested that Toni Kroos could yet leave the club, amid reported interest from Manchester United.
Kroos, 24, is under contract until 2015 but the Germany international has, so far, not reached agreement on an extension despite negotiations in recent weeks.
The midfielder played an important role under Jupp Heynckes last season as Bayern won the Treble of Champions League, Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, and has been one of the few true regulars under new Guardiola. He has featured in all but one of the club's competitive games this season.
"He is an important player," Guardiola said ahead of Bayern’s game at Stuttgart. "But it can go fast in football. Here today, there tomorrow."
The Germany international has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, following David Moyes’ visit to Borussia Park on Friday to watch Bayern’s 2-0 win against Moenchengladbach.
The United manager was spotted at the match with Sascha Breese, who is the man responsible for "international contacts" at Sports Total, Kroos’ agents.
Volker Struth, Kroos’ main agent, is reported to have told kicker that the current contract offer on the table is unacceptable and no further negotiations are currently scheduled. It means Bayern could choose to cash in now before the player moves into the final year of his agreement.
"I can’t rule out anything," Toni Kroos told kicker, when questioned if he could go into the World Cup without prolonging his Bayern deal. "No talks are planned in the near future. I am fully focused on the Rueckrunde [second part of the Bundesliga season] now."
Sounds like my wife when I have a serious hard onEverytime i see this thread bump up, i have a serious hard on. Only to find myself yet disappointed
I thought the same of the Mata deal given his seemingly positive relationship with Mourinho. Then there was the picture of Fergie meeting Roman at the Chelsea game. Not sure if that was an old pic or not.
Can you imagine.Couldn't he be fully focused on Stoke away instead...?
I loved that show. Unfortunately, I think Jan Michael Vincent handled our summer transfer business...

Hehe.
He's twice the player.
Me too man. It, the A-Team & Street-hawk to name but a few, were all part of my day-dreaming growing up...
I heard Peter Kenyon got plastic surgery to look like Woodward - thats why it all went tits up man. They found Woody bound & locked in a shed on the beach at Scarborough...

Maybe he is - but he isn't, in my opinion, going to sweep all before him and be the differnece between top 4, and not.
We urgently need to address issues in midfield - but there's a difference between that and knee-kerk signings. There are a good number of midfielders better than Cleverly, doesnt mean we should go out and buy them.
As it is I like Cabaye as a player, but it looks like we're going for bigger and better - and if that means waiting until the summer I see no problem in that. The club needs to look long termat where it wants to be. If we want to buy player that are possibly not top 4 quality, and hope to make the top 4 year on year then fair enough - but it looks like Moyes is setting his sights higher and wants the very best.
He is not coming now. In the summer with less than 12 months left on his contract, I think £25m is more than enough. We got RVP for £24m.We need to learn from the summer, if the 25m bid is to be believed then that seems a bit of a low bid for Kroos. For Bayern to even consider I'd expect 30+ just to get them to the table.
Anyhoo - hope we just go for it while the chance is there. Once the window closes Bayern will have a better chance of tying him down.

True there will be other clubs in contention for his signature but Young is different because he is English and moved within the league which means you overpay. Fellaini and Mata were not in the last year of their contracts. Fellaini had a release clause of around £22-23m. We could have got him for that but we fecked up. That has nothing to do with the Kroos situation.Difference in age between the two. We bought Young for 17 with a year left, we paid 27 for Fellaini when we could have paid 23. We just paid 37 for Mata. Bayern will probably play a lot harder ball and not to mention there will probably be a host of other clubs willing to pay more for a player of his talent.
I just don't think 25 is going to be enough even in the summer, definitely not enough if we've bid for him this window.
I can't rule anything out = I'm out
Should have gone with the classic "Only god knows the future..."

Who says he is going to sign a new contract with us? He is not moving in the winter and doesnt even want to talk about it. Also if he signs a contract with us NOW, he is going to move NOW. He aint going to sign and stay with Bayern for the next 6 months.Which basically makes it £30+m now or wait to pay £25m but with a big risk that he signs a new contract and stays. No brainer.
Anyone here watch him on a very regular basis? I've probably only watched him 8-10 times and just the once live, but I'm still not sure what kind of player he is. He seems to have the passing and shooting attributes of a more advanced player but I've only seen him play a deeper role. Great on the ball but just seems to amble about when he's off it and doesn't seem like the greatest tackler either.
Can he... play in a 2 man midfield?
So is it on or auf?
He can pretty much play anywhere centrally. If we're talking 4-4-2, then yes, he could play CM. If we're talking 4-2-3-1, then he could play in the 2 or the 3....though I'd say that the 2 would be his most useful and comfortable spot.Anyone here watch him on a very regular basis? He's described as "The complete midfielder". Basically, think Paul Scholes in lederhosen and you're pretty close.
