Gaming Tom Clancy's - The Division | Division 2 announced

I think it's too easy to get the best stuff, personally. But then, I thought exotics in Destiny should've been more exotic. I mean, they aren't exotic if every player has a vault stuffed with ten of them, are they?

If it was up to me, the max you can craft would be level 30, but there would be a very rare and random drop, similar to The Crux of Crota in Destiny, that allows you to upgrade your item to 31. The named weapons should also be random and rare dropped loot only. The max you can buy should be level 30 purple, imo.

See, that is my opinion also. Being lucky enough to get a rare item adds to the excitement of going into the dark zone, on the hope that you could get a random, rare item.
Reaching level 50 being able to buy lots of it, for very cheap prices means once you hit level 50, entering the DZ loses its appeal

Right. What's my best plan of action? I want Superior weapons.

Rank 19
DZ Rank 25

Currently running:

14,300 DPS (Superior AK47 bought from BOO, Got an AUG print as secondary which is 15k DPS but find I use the AK and a Lvl 19 Sniper instead)

14,5000 Health

3,300 Skill

At this point do I really need to crack on with the missions outside of the DZ and get to lvl 30? Ive not seen a Superior in a Key Chest or from any named boss drops. Should I be seeing them? Ive purposely stayed lvl 19 so I can play in DZ with my mates who are lvl 15 and 16.

Ive got a Superior mod print as well as that AUG and a Backpack print ive all crafted and hit good traits first time of asking. I want more though...where would you start.

Anyone having issues unlocking 'United We Stand' trophy. tired it earlier with Wedge and the trophy unlocked for him but not me. Wonder if it's glitching for anyone else or if there is a work around?

I don't think I got a superior weapon in the normal mode until about level 26+.
Personally, I'd rank to level 30 as soon as possible.
I don't know as much as others on this forum about this game, but all the weapons you'd find in the DZ would become worthless as you rank in the game. I could be wrong, but getting to level 30 is a must I'd say.

Maybe make a second character that ranks slower, in line with your friends, and have a main account

Also, I could be wrong, but I wouldn't go out of your way purchasing weapons until level 30 either. You rank up quick, and you're forever switching guns as you move up the ranks. Paying for one to deconstruct it an hour later feels like a waste

What is the 'armor' stat for, by the way? You'd think it directly affects the agents health, but you can choose a bit of gear that has a vastly higher 'ARM' stat, but will actually decrease your health/stamina number and not really affect your firearm or electronics numbers either.

I'm pissed off how I've always gone and chosen the higher 'ARM' stat without paying attention what it does... my current load out is (roughly):
Firearm/DPS 33,000
Stamina/health 24,000
Skill/electronics 4,500

That skill stat is shite  how can I improve it without massively affecting the other two?

Menu > Inventory > Character > scroll down to Survivability and it says "Armor: Mitigates X% weapon damage"

So then what's the stamina/health number for? Just your overall health?

I should probably read that character page, haven't looked at it once!

How many times can you re-run the Police Academy glitch until it becomes somewhat ineffective?

Buy the high end electronics gear mod blueprint and stick one or two in your mod slots. Aside from that, there's always going to be at least some kind of trade-off.

Wait, how come your vector has a higher min and max values compared to my blueprint?
Range is based on firearms. My firearms was around 2500.

8869-9906

Option 1: Dmg 9540
+21% Crit chance
Accurate - Accuracy is increased by 46%
Responsive - Damage is increased by 13% when closer than 10m to the target
Destructive - Armor destruction value is increased by 18% when using this weapon

———

Option 2: Dmg 9874
+25% Crit chance
Competent - Weapon damage is increased by 13% for 10 seconds after using a skill
Self preserved - Critical hits with this weapon heal the user for 3% of damage dealt
Capable - Using a skill improves the handling of your weapon for 13 seconds

Second one with near max damage and crit chance. Just a shame the talents are pretty poor apart from self preserved.

Ah right, didn't realise the base weapon damage also changed. So if I boost up my firearms my vector base damage will change as well.

Yeah. My firearms/stamina is a bit on the high side at 2500 each with my electronics at 1k but will change things around when I've got more gear with space for mods and stuff. At the moment I only have four mod slots.

I'm level 25, haven't seen a single high end yet ;)

I've always ignored those mods, but I stuck a few purples on yesterday and they improved my DPS/health but not by that much... the performance mods look decent though.

They can make the difference between having your weapon's talents active or inactive. They're definitely worth a look.

Im one level away from 30, once you get there, what do you guys get up to?
I was trying not to complete the game too fast and make it last awhile.

Dailies/challenge mode, collect rest of collectibles if you haven't done so, go in dark zone, do challenge missions to get phoenix credits which you can use to purchase high end blueprints

Also these things are coming at some point:

Assignments

Daily and weekly assignments are planned to be given to players in the near future, alongside the current system of hard/challenge mode missions. These assignments will provide Phoenix Credits to players. No details were given regarding what players will be required to do during these assignments.

Community Challenges

It was suggested during the stream that the community will have future challenges put in place to unlock certain rewards. These might consist of killing a certain type of enemy a set number of times, or another similar activity.

Big Stream Soon™

A big stream regarding future content – likely the Incursions update – is planned to be announced in the next few days. It will contain lots of information about future content that players will be presented with as The Division releases its two free expansions.

These sound great, makes me glad I got the season pass :)

its taking me quite a while to level up

im only on 12

havent been to the dark zone yet
I levelled up like mad after playing with mates who were around 6/7 levels above me, cause I tagged along whilst they did side missions that give you 40,000+ xp. It's probably worth doing that, or even teaming up with guys at a similar level to you and tackling the side missions in areas slightly above yours (I wouldn't go any higher than say 15 though for you).

I started joining open groups around that level and did the side missions/encounters/JTF support gives you lots of XP and it makes it so much easier.

I leveled up from 6 to 25 from Saturday to yesterday, playing only a few hours each day.

Tonight i'm gonna go in the DZ with some groups to try and get better gear.

Three HE Marksman rifle drops today and not one is an M1A :(.

They were all terrible rolls so that hurt a little more.

Have you all seen this for the Russian Consulate mission too?

How and why people figure these things out really baffles me. Just play and enjoy the challenge of the game instead of trying to figure out how to cheat it, ffs.

Daily challenges are so easy now. Took me 18 minutes to do both.

I'm tempted to rank up another character but I found the single player very boring
